Department of Management Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University is known as PUMBA Pune. It was founded in the year 1971. Currently, it is one of the first management institutes in India. PUMBA was accredited with the institutional grade A with five stars by NAAC, making it one of the very few Universities in the country to have been so recognised.
PUMBA holds the 17th position in India for its MBA and PGDM courses. PUMBA has also received recognition in other rankings, including: -PUMBA is ranked as the 41st best B-School in India, according to THE WEEK magazine's Hansa National Survey 2013. -PUMBA has been awarded the highest rating by the National Council of Assessment and Accreditation (NAAC).
PUMBA Pune is spread over 414 acres of land. PUMBA Pune became fully autonomous in the year 2004 and introduced a strict trimester-based curriculum along with the introduction of an integrated internship experience and a change in the evaluation system.
Currently, PUMBA Pune offers BBA and various MBA programs. This institute also offers doctoral-level programs to its students. Admissions to these courses are based on various national and state-level exams - MHCET, CAT, MAT, XAT, and ATMA.
