About MBA:

The MBA (Master of Administration) is a post-graduate programme for students who want to work in the management field. The MBA is dedicated to two aspects which are management and marketing. It is one of the most sought-after postgraduate programs in India and abroad as students from any background- science, commerce and humanities can pursue it. Students can pursue an MBA program in full-time, part-time and online/distance education modes. Some universities also offer postgraduate diplomas in the management field instead of MBA degrees.

Admission in various MBA colleges/institutes based on MBA entrance examinations followed by a personality assessment test round (group discussion or GD, Written ability test or WAT and Personal interview or PI). Some of the most popular MBA entrance examinations are CAT, GMAT, MAT, SNAP and XAT etc.

During MBA, students get to learn about management, finance and workforce management of a company/organization. In India, there are more than 5000 MBA colleges/institutes.

The duration of the MBA program:

The Master of Administration (MBA) is a two-year post-graduation program which is divided into 4 semesters. Each semester students get to learn about management and marketing field.

What are the eligibility criteria for MBA?

If a student wants to get into an MBA college/institute, he/she needs to first check the eligibility criteria of desired institute/college. The common MBA eligibility criteria are given below.

  • The candidate should have completed or be in the last year of his/her bachelor’s degree in any stream with a minimum of three year duration.
  • The aspirant should get at least 50% marks in his bachelor’s degree to get admission to an MBA.
  • He/she should have completed his class 12th examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks from an Indian-recognized board.
  • He/she should have qualified for the entrance exam and meet the MBA cutoff requirements set by the MBA colleges/institutes.
