About Central Library

SVSU library system consists of two central libraries, seven college libraries, and departmental libraries in various disciplines of Medical Sciences, Engineering, and Technology, Management, Education, Science, Library Science, Fine Arts, Law, Journalism and Mass-Communication. These libraries are located in various centralized locations in the University. These are fully air-conditioned with a seating capacity of more than 2000 library patrons at a time.

Gen. G. S. Dhillon Central Library remains open on all days from 08:00 am to 10:00 pm while the Central Library Medical Sciences opens from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. Both these central libraries have a rich collection of volumes of Textbooks, Reference books, Journals, Periodicals, etc. The library internet centers have 100 computers for faculty members, students, and research scholars. Fast internet connection is available to access the EBSCO database, E-J server, and DELNET online databases. The libraries have automated in-house activities such as library membership, circulation of documents, holdings of periodicals, and catalog as an online public access catalog (OPAC).

All the seats are allotted through UP- NEET counseling conducted by DGME UP/ UP State Government as per the merit secured in the UNDERGRADUATE – NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG- NEET). 

Candidates who are citizens of India, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and foreign nationals are eligible to take NEET.

Qualifying Exam                      10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized board.

Hostel charges will increase considering the rise in the price index since 2021 as per actual and will further increase each year as per the price index.

·      Besides College Fees, Hostel Fee & refundable Security, the students have to pay as under, if required:

     i. An additional tuition fee @ 1/3rd of the Annual Tuition fee will be charged to detained (for whatsoever reason)/failed students each year/session.

   ii. An additional supplementary exam fee from failed/detained students will be charged @ Rs. 50,000/- per subject per examination.

    iii. The hostel is compulsory for all the students except those who are residents of Meerut City.

    The full Fee for the year will be deposited at the time of admission and before the LAST DATE

  declared by the Counseling Board. No Part payment of Fee is permitted and Fee once deposited

  is non-refundable.

The students will be required to give an affidavit that in case they leave the course in between

they will be required to deposit the full course fee.

 It will be compulsory for the students to do an internship at the College itself. No request for

giving NOC for doing an internship from any other Hospital for whatsoever reason shall be

entertained.

NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is an entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for admission to various postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, PG Diploma, etc. in India.

The eligibility criteria for NEET-PG admission are as follows:

1.    Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a recognized MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a recognized medical college or university.

2.    Internship: Candidates should have completed their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before 31st March of the year in which they are appearing for NEET-PG.

3.    Registration: Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC).

4.    Citizenship: Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are eligible to appear for NEET-PG.

5.    Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the NEET-PG exam, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 40% marks.

6.    Age Limit: There is no age limit for NEET-PG.

1.    Candidates must have completed MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized medical college or university.

2.    Candidates must have completed their one-year rotating internship after the completion of the MBBS course.

3.    Candidates must have a valid scorecard of NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Post Graduate) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
