The Faculty of Dental Science at Dharmsinh Desai University in Nadiad is a private college that opened in 2005. The college offers courses affiliated with Dharamsinh Desai University and accredited by the Dental Council of India and the Government of India. It has an annual intake of 100 seats for BDS and 30 seats for Postgraduate Dental Sciences.
The Dental College is built on 153000 square feet of land and offers cutting-edge infrastructure to students, as well as dedicated teachers. The institution currently has 275 dental chairs and a well-maintained laboratory with the most up-to-date technology.
There are large classrooms, seminar halls, and an auditorium. The site has well-ventilated, large hostels for boys and girls separately. The library covers a large space and includes a substantial collection of books as well as national and international journals with back volumes. Students can also take advantage of an excellent E-Library resource. There are facilities for indoor and outdoor games and sports. It is affiliated with Dr. N.D. Desai Medical College & Hospital for clinical practice.
The Dental Science faculty has a wide range of equipment, from basic to cutting-edge devices such as lasers, endodontic microscopes, Dolphin Imaging Software, and more. Every year, over 1,20,000 individuals undergo a variety of dental treatments at the institute. A dedicated Oral Cancer Centre has been established to prevent and cure the negative effects of tobacco use.
