The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released a Revised Tentative Schedule dated September 3, 2026, for NEET UG 2026 Round 2 counselling. According to the schedule, the Round 2 registration process will begin today, September 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM (server time).
The counselling process will cover MBBS and BDS admissions under the State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota in West Bengal.
Candidates should note that this is not the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. The process is being conducted at the state level by WBMCC, so candidates should use the correct counselling portal and follow the latest WBMCC notices.

Registration and Fee Payment Deadlines Are Different
Candidates should keep in mind that the deadline for Round 2 registration is September 9 at 6 PM, while the fee payment window remains open until midnight on September 9.
Therefore, completing the registration form alone is not enough. Candidates should also make sure that the required counselling fee is paid successfully within the prescribed deadline.
Document Verification and Domicile Requirements
As per the revised schedule, physical document verification will be conducted from September 8 to 10, according to the college and time slot assigned by the system.
Candidates applying for State Quota seats should also pay close attention to the West Bengal domicile requirements. They should carry the original documents and certificates required under the counselling guidelines, including the applicable proforma-based certificates.
Separate provisions may apply to candidates participating under the NRI category.
Seat Surrender and Upgradation in Round 2
The Round 2 schedule also includes a seat surrender process on September 11 and 12. Candidates required to surrender a seat will need to complete the process at the allotted college along with their original documents.
Candidates who receive a higher-preference seat in Round 2 may also have to complete the required formalities at their previous college before joining the newly allotted institution. These may include obtaining their original documents, completing applicable fee-related formalities and collecting the server-generated relieving letter.
