Anyone who wishes to sit in the PULEET 2024 exam should have a diploma in Engineering of a minimum 3-year duration after the Matriculation Examination with Physics and Mathematics with 60% (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) marks as an aggregate from any recognised university. Once after fulfilling the following requirements, the student will be allowed to sit in the entrance exam.

PULEET 2024 will be of 100 marks consisting of multiple-choice questions, there shall be negative marking for wrong answers. for every incorrect answer, ¼ marks will be deducted and for every correct answer, 1 mark is to be awarded. The duration of the PULEET entrance exam 2024 is 1 hour 40 minutes.

There will be no marks cut off in the PULEET entrance test for any category. The University will publish a common Merit cum rank list. Rank will be awarded based on marks obtained in the PULEET exam to all the students.

The conducting authority of the PULEET 2024 exam is Panjab University. Through the PULEET exam, Punjab University offers admission to lateral/direct entry to the second year of various engineering courses of Panjab University. Panjab University offers lateral entry mainly in 4 disciplines of engineering programs. PULEET 2024 will be held on the university campus of Panjab University only.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PULEET 2024 examination?


If the student wishes to sit in the PULEET 2024 examination, he/she should first register for the exam. Before going for registration for the PULEET 2024 exam, students should make sure that they meet the eligibility requirements of this exam because if students do not meet the requirements of this exam, they won't be allowed to sit for the PULEET 2024 exam. Hence it is necessary to meet the eligibility requirements of this examination.

  • The students should have a Diploma in Engineering of a minimum of three years duration with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD category students) after class 10 with Physics and Mathematics or 
  • The student should have cleared/passed the Diploma in Engineering (min. two years) with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD category students) after Class 12 or
  • The students who have cleared/passed DVoc from a Polytechnic college/institute with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD category students) will be eligible for admission to the second year of the BE program in the same stream only.
  • The student should not have cleared/qualified/passed the qualifying exam before 2022.
  • The student should have passed/cleared the compartment in the Diploma in Engineering before applying for the exam.
  • Admission would be made based on merit obtained in the Entrance Examination PULEET 2024 conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.

  • First, the student will go to the official webpage of Punjab University
  • https://puleet.puchd.ac.in
  • Now the student will do his/her registration on the portal by entering their date of birth, Email ID, and class 10th roll number in the required field.
  • After registration, the student will receive the login ID on his/her registered email ID/mobile number.
  • Now the student will log in to the portal by providing the login credentials.
  • After that, the student will fill out the application form for the PULEET 2024 exam. He/she will enter his/her educational and personal details.
  • Now the student will upload the scanned required documents such as photographs and signatures as specified.
  • After filling in all the details, the student will pay the application fees for this exam and submit the form.
  • Once the submission of the application form is done, the student will take a printout of it for future use.
