West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) will declare the Round 2 seat allotment result for NEET UG 2026 on September 15, 2026, after 6:00 PM. This is as per the revised counselling schedule that came out on September 3. Once the result is announced, students who get an MBBS or BDS seat must go in person to their allotted college between September 16 and September 18 to finish their admission.
All updates, PDFs, and login links are on the WBMCC website — wbmcc.nic.in, under the UG Medical & Dental Counselling section.
Round 2 Timeline: The Key Dates
Round 2 has moved fast, with very little gap between steps:
- Registration and fee payment: September 7 (from 1:00 PM) to September 9, 2026 — registration closes at 6:00 PM, but fee can be paid till midnight
- Document verification: September 8, 9 and 10, 2026
- Verified candidates list (also called the provisional merit list) and seat matrix: September 12, 2026, after 4:00 PM
- Choice filling and locking: September 12 (from 6:00 PM) to September 14, 2026 (till 10:00 AM)
- Round 2 seat allotment result: September 15, 2026, after 6:00 PM
- Physical reporting and admission: September 16 to 18, 2026
Each step depends on the one before it — verification, choice locking, the result, and reporting are all connected. So, students should keep a close eye on these dates; missing one can affect the next.
What Is the Verified List and Seat Matrix?
On September 12, after 4 PM, WBMCC published the verified candidates list for Round 2. This is also called the provisional merit list. Only students whose documents were successfully verified appear on this list, and only these students can get a seat in Round 2.
Along with this list, WBMCC also released the seat matrix. It shows how many MBBS and BDS seats are available under the state quota, college by college and category by category. Students use this to decide which choices to fill based on their rank and category.
Why the Choice-Filling Window Matters
Students got choice filling and locking open from September 12, 6 PM, to September 14, 10 AM. That's about 40 hours in total — not a lot of time. Verified students had to pick and lock their college and course choices in this window. Once it closed, those choices became final and were used for the actual seat allotment.
