  • Fresh registration is required for candidates who didn’t register earlier, or those who resigned or didn’t report after a Round 2 allotment. (Registration and fee payment were scheduled for September 22–27.)
  • Fresh registration isn’t needed for candidates who already registered and paid earlier but didn’t get a seat, or are still in the process as per MCC’s eligibility rules. These candidates generally just need to submit and lock fresh choices for Round 3.

  • Log in on the official portal, mcc.nic.in, using your credentials.
  • Add your choices in your genuine order of preference.
  • Save and review — double-check the course, college, quota, and order.
  • Lock your choices within the locking window. Once locked, no changes are 
  • Download or print the locked choices page for your records.

What Happens After the Result?

If you’re allotted a seat on September 30, you’ll need to report to the allotted institute between October 1 and 9. Missing the reporting deadline can lead to the seat being forfeited, and as per MCC rules, you may also risk losing your security deposit in applicable cases.

All timings follow MCC server time, which can differ slightly from your local clock — so it’s best not to wait until the last minute. In counselling, a missed deadline is worse than a tough cutoff.
