New Delhi: The registration window for MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 3 closes today, 27 September 2026, at 3:00 PM (server time). If you’re worried about a last-minute payment glitch, there’s some relief — the payment facility itself stays open a little longer, till 6:00 PM the same day.
This gap between the registration deadline (3 PM) and the payment deadline (6 PM) is clearly mentioned in MCC’s revised schedule released on 14 September 2026. Don’t treat both as one “6 PM deadline” — that’s a risky assumption. Aim to hit “Submit” on your registration form well before 3 PM.
The timeline to keep in front of you
- Registration closes: 27 Sept, 3:00 PM
- Payment gateway closes: 27 Sept, 6:00 PM
- Choice filling/locking ends: 28 Sept, 12:00 noon (locking starts 27 Sept, 7 PM)
- Seat allotment result: 30 Sept
- Reporting/joining: 1–9 Oct
A good rule of thumb: don’t wait for the final hour, since server traffic peaks in the last 30 minutes. Try to finish registration by 1 PM and payment by 4 PM to stay on the safe side.
Who can take part in Round 3?
- If you’re already registered from Round 1 or 2 and didn’t get a seat, you don’t need to register again — just fill your choices.
- If you’re a fresh candidate, you’ll need to register now and pay the fee.
- If you resigned or didn’t report in Round 2, you’re still eligible, but you’ll be treated as a fresh candidate and will need to pay the full fee again.
- If you freshly registered in Round 2 but didn’t get a seat, you can take part directly without registering again.
The “no exit” rule — worth reading twice
This is the trap most candidates need to watch out for. In Round 3, resignation is simply not allowed.
If you’re allotted a seat in this round:
- You have to join it — physical reporting is compulsory.
- You cannot resign or back out later.
- Your security deposit will be forfeited if you skip reporting.
- You’ll be barred from taking part in any further rounds, including the Stray Vacancy round.
If you already have a Round 2 seat and choose to go for upgradation in Round 3, keep in mind that your old seat gets automatically cancelled the moment a new one is allotted — there’s no safety net to fall back on. So only fill choices for colleges you genuinely prefer over the seat you already have.
183 new seats added to the pool
MCC’s notice from 24 September confirms 183 newly added MBBS/BDS seats, spread across institutes like Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Government Medical College (15 MBBS), Datta Meghe Dental College (100 BDS), and Vinayaka Missions Medical College (50 MBBS), among others. These are now part of the choice-filling matrix, alongside the Virtual and Clear Vacancy seats.

If you’re a PwD candidate: a small window extension
The Primary Medical Board assessment window is open till 26 September, 5 PM, and the Appellate Board reassessment is open a bit longer — till 28 September, 10:30 AM. If this applies to you, try to finish it before your choices get locked.
Your checklist for today (27 September)
- Register right away if you haven’t already — aim to finish before 2:30 PM.
- Pay the fee immediately after (the gateway stays open till 6 PM).
- Fill your choices carefully — the order you list them in really matters.
- Lock your choices any time between 7 PM today and 12 noon tomorrow.
- Keep your documents ready for physical reporting between 1 and 9 October — allotment letter, NEET admit card, rank letter, date-of-birth proof, 10th and 12th certificates, category/PwD certificates, photographs, and ID proof.
