All India Quota, Deemed & Central Universities Counselling Date

Counselling for candidates under the All-India Quota, Deemed Universities, and Central Universities will be conducted on 19th September 2026.

Seat Verification Schedule

  • Verification of confirmed seats for All India Quota, Deemed Universities, and Central Universities candidates by MCC: 7th September to 11th September 2026

  • Verification by State Counselling Authorities and State Directorates of Medical Education (DMEs): 19th September 2026

Biometric Authentication & Document Verification Process

MCC and state authorities will verify candidates' documents and conduct two-stage biometric authentication at their respective allotted seats. This strict verification process applies to confirmation of seat allotment.

State Quota Joining Formalities Deadline

Candidates allotted seats under State Quota must complete joining formalities — including document verification and fee payment — on or before 18th September 2026.

New Academic Session Start Date

The new academic session for undergraduate medical courses is likely to begin on 15th September 2026. The counselling and verification process has been scheduled accordingly to ensure a smooth transition for students without disruptions.

Working Days During Counselling Period

MCC has directed institutes and colleges to treat Saturdays, Sundays, and gazette/public holidays as regular working days during the counselling period. This is aimed at rationalising the admission process and completing it as efficiently and quickly as possible given the time constraints, with institutes expected to work at full capacity to manage the increased workload.

Advisory for Candidates and Parents

Given the tight schedule, candidates and parents are advised to closely monitor all deadlines and ensure no requirement is missed, as failure to comply may lead to disqualification from the admission process.
