Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has recently released the JKCET 2024 registration dates. This year, the JKCET 2024 registration is going to begin from June 5 2024 and the last date to apply for this exam is June 19 2024.
The other important dates of the JKCET 2024 exam are going to be released later separately. The students who are appearing or have appeared in the 10+2 (12th Class) annual examination 2024 are allowed to sit in JKCET 2024 examination. The state-level Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted for admission to various UG engineering courses which are offered by various government and private institutes in J&K state.
This exam is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted in offline mode. The exam has 3 sections comprising Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 180 questions (60 questions from each section) with a time duration of 3.00 hours. The questions are multiple choice objective types with 1 mark each. For every wrong answer, the student will get a 0.25 negative mark.
JKBOPEE releases the JKCET 2024 eligibility criteria along with the official notification. The students who wish to appear in this exam are advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling out the JKCET 2024 application form. What are the eligibility requirements for the JKCET 2024 examination?

- The student should be 17 years old as of December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit.
- The student should be a permanent residents of J&K state.
- The student should have passed/cleared/qualified 10+2th (or equivalent) examination from a recognized statutory Board/University.
- The students who are or will be appearing for the qualifying examination in 2024 are also allowed to participate in this exam.
- The student should study English. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics by the students and they should also qualify these subjects exam.
- The student should have obtained/secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam (students belonging to Open Merit including the Children of Defence Personnel, Children of Paramilitary Forces, Children of State Police Personnel, and students possessing outstanding proficiency in Sports in the qualifying exam). The SC/ST and other Socially and Educationally Backward Classes students should obtain at least 40% marks in the qualifying exam.

What steps are required during the registration process for the JKCET 2024 examination?

- Firstly, the aspirant will go to the official website of the JKCET 2024 exam https://jkbopee.gov.in/ and click on the registration link.
- Now the student will register himself/herself on the portal by providing the information which is asked.
- After submitting the information, the student will receive the login credentials on the registered email ID or mobile number.
