Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is going to conduct the JEST 2024 exam on March 3, 2024, across 38 exam centres in India. Once the exam is done, the students can check the JEST exam analysis which will help them to understand the difficulty level of the entrance exam better.

On 12 February 2024, the authorities released the admit card for JEST 2024 online. Only those who register for the exam successfully will be able to download their admit card. Before participating in the JEST 2024 exam, the students should make sure that they download the hall ticket for the exam. To download the hall ticket for the JEST 2024 examination, the students should enter their email ID & password as login credentials. If any student is unable to download the admit card for any reason then they immediately contact the exam conducting authorities and get it rectified. 

The last date to register for the JEST 2024 exam was 31 January 2024. After that, the authorities opened a window for two days from February 2 to 4, 2024 to edit/modify the details in the application form. Successfully registered students of the JEST 2024 application form can download the JEST admit card 2024.

The results of the JEST 2024 examination are expected to be released in April 2024.

Earlier the JEST 2024 exam used to be conducted by the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) but now this year, the conducting authority of the JEST 2024 exam is the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST).

What are the eligibility requirements for the JEST 2024 examination?

Eligibility requirements for Ph.D. programmes:

  • The student should clear/pass the B. Tech/ M.Sc./ BE/ MTech course in applied physics and mathematics.
  • Computational Biology at IMSc: The institutes accept M.Sc., MTech, ME, and MCA in any engineering or science subject.
  • Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc: The student should have an M.Sc./MTech/ME degree in Computer Science and Mathematical aspects.
  • Neuroscience at NBRC: The students should have an M.Sc./B. Tech/MCA in Computer Science, and Physics/ Mathematics.

Eligibility requirements for Integrated PhD programmes:

  • Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc: The student should have a B.Sc./B.Tech./MCA in Computer Science and must be interested in mathematical aspects.
  • Ph.D. programme at IIA: The student should have an M.Sc. in Physics, Applied Physics/ Post-Basic (Hons) degree in Optics and Optoelectronics.

What steps are needed while filling out the JEST 2024 application form?

Here are the steps which will be needed during the JEST 2024 registration process. Anyone who wishes to appear in this exam can follow the below-mentioned steps during its registration.

  • First, the student will go to the official website of the JEST 2024 exam https://www.jest.org.in/joint-entrance-screening-test
  • Now the student will register himself/herself on the portal by providing his/her Email ID, password, name, date of birth etc.
  • Once the student is done with the registration, he/she will log in to the portal using his/her login credentials.
  • Now the student will fill out the application form for the JEST 2024 exam by providing his/her personal and educational details.
  • After that, the student will upload the necessary documents such as scanned copies of his/her photograph and signature.
  • In this step, the student will pay the JEST 2024 application fees.
  • Once the payment is done, the student will submit the form and take a printout of the filled form for future reference.
