The Haryana Department of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has today, September 14, 2026, released the Round 2 provisional seat allotment for NEET UG 2026 candidates. This update comes after the grievance redressal process was completed, making it the post-grievance provisional allocation—the most relevant document for candidates right now.

What Happened Today?

Two key documents were published on the official Haryana counselling portal (uhsrugcounselling.com):

  • Provisional Merit List cum Allotment – Round 2 – Released at 12:30 PM on September 14, giving candidates a narrow window to raise any discrepancies via the “Grievances” section.
  •  Provisional Allotment of Seats after Redressal of Grievances – The updated list reflecting grievances resolved, which is the definitive post-grievance allocation candidates should reference.

How the Allotment Works

Unlike simple rank-based selection, round 2 allocation is a combination of factors:

  • Candidate’s NEET UG 2026 AIR/rank
  • Candidate’s category (General, SC, BC, EWS, etc.)
  • Available seat matrix per institution
  • Candidate’s online-filled preferences

This means a candidate may be allotted a seat based on their rank plus category plus what’s available plus their stated choices—not rank alone.

Who Can Participate in Round 2?

Three groups of candidates are eligible:

  • Those who received no allotment in Round 1
  • Those who received a Round 1 allotment but did not join the allotted institute
  •  Those who joined Round 1 but now seek upgradation to a better college/course (they must fresh-fill choices for Round 2)

Candidates already registered from Round 1 typically do not need to register again, but must actively indicate their willingness to participate in Round 2.

Important Notes

  • Online allotment is not confirmed admission—only after document verification and prescribed procedures does seat confirmation occur.
  • Candidates whose college/course/category shows “NO CHANGE” need not appear for physical verification.
  • Admission must proceed only through the authorized counselling process; any institute-level admission outside this process is null and void.

The official portal remains at uhsrugcounselling.com. Candidates are advised to check their status promptly and complete the fee payment window before the deadline closes.
