Who is Conducting the Counselling?

The entire state quota counselling for NEET UG MBBS and BDS seats is managed by the Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh. The official websites are cgdme.admissions.nic.in and cgdme.in. All notices, vacancy lists, merit lists and allotment results are published only on these portals.

1,304 Vacant Seats Available in Round 2

One of the biggest highlights is the clear vacancy list. Official data shows 1,304 MBBS and BDS seats were available for Round 2. These include seats in government medical colleges, private institutions, and under Government Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota.

Popular colleges featuring in the vacancy list include Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College (Raipur), CIMS Bilaspur, Government Medical College Rajnandgaon, Baliram Kashyap Memorial Medical College Jagdalpur, Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences, Shri Shankaracharya Institute, Shri Balaji Institute, and several dental colleges such as Government Dental College Raipur and Maitri College of Dentistry.

Key Dates for Round 2

As per the official notice dated 4 September 2026:

  • Online application/registration: 5 September (11:00 AM) to 8 September 2026 (11:59 PM)
  • Choice filling and locking: 5 September to 9 September 2026 (11:59 PM)

Previously registered candidates also had to fill fresh choices because earlier preferences did not automatically carry forward.

The provisional allotment list was published on 14 September 2026.

How to Check Your Round 2 Allotment Result

Visit cgdme.admissions.nic.in or cgdme.in. Look for the Allotment Result or the specific Round 2 Provisional Allotment List link (available as PDF). Search using your NEET roll number or credentials. Download the allotment letter carefully and note the allotted institute, course, quota and category.

What Happens Next?

Allotted candidates must follow the instructions in the allotment letter. This usually includes document verification/scrutiny at the allotted college, fee payment and final admission/joining. Exact reporting dates will be mentioned in the official notice—do not rely on previous years’ schedules. Failure to report can lead to cancellation of the seat and forfeiture of registration amount.

Round 1 candidates who want private college options in Round 2 may need to pay any fee difference.
