The Indian Maritime University (IMU) will release the IMU CET 2024 application forms in April 2024 and the exam will be held in June 2024, tentatively. IMU conducts a national-level common entrance test (CET) for admission to BSc, BTech, UG Diploma, MTech, MBA, and PhD courses offered at IMU campuses. To apply for IMU CET for IMU admission 2024, candidates must register, download the IMU CET admit card, and appear for the exam.

IMUCET is held in a computer-based test mode. The IMU CET exam pattern contains multiple-choice questions that the candidates must answer in 3 hours. Each wrong answer leads to a negative marking of - 0.25 marks. The exam questions come from Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Aptitude and English for all UG courses (except BBA). For the MBA course admission, candidates must answer questions from Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation, and Quantitative Ability. For MTech, candidates need to attempt questions in English, Mathematics, and Subject-based (Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Marine Engineering /Naval Architecture). The IMU CET syllabus is released by IMU so that the candidates can prepare for the entrance test.

The candidates who qualify for IMU CET are issued rank certificates. Candidates who get rank certificates can then participate in the online counselling conducted by IMU. IMU will conduct online counselling only for admission to its 6 Campuses - Navi Mumbai, Mumbai Port, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, and Kochi.

What are the eligibility requirements for the IMU CET 2024 examination?

To appear in the IMU CET 2024 exam, the students will have to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility requirements. Otherwise, the authorities will not allow the student to appear in the IMU CET 2024 examination.

Eligibility requirements for the B.Tech. program:
To take admission to the B.Tech course, the students will have to first meet the following eligibility requirements of this program.

• The student should clear/qualify/pass the class 12^th or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
• The student should have studied subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as a compulsory subject.
• The student should have secured/obtained at least 60% marks in PCM and 50% marks in English subjects.
• For male students, the maximum age is 25 years to 28 years (30 years for SC/ST). The 27 years to 30 years for female students who wish to take admission to a B.Tech program (35 years for SC/ST category).
• The students who are appearing in class 12^th level are allowed to appear in the IMU CET 2024 exam.

Eligibility requirements for the MBA program:

• The student should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline to apply.
• The student should obtain/secure at least 50% marks in aggregate from the recognized university/ institute.
• A 5% relaxation will be given in eligibility marks (except English marks).
• There are no age requirements to take admission to an MBA program.
• The qualified students will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner. 

Eligibility requirements for the B.Sc. program:

• The student should have secured/passed class 12th level or equivalent from the recognized board.
• The student should score a minimum of 60% marks in PCM subject and 50% marks in English.
• A 5% relaxation will be given in English marks to the applying students.
