Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology will publish the IIST B.Tech 2024 admission notification online at the website, iist.ac.in. Candidates wishing to be admitted to the B.Tech program offered at IIST must complete the registration process online. The authority will release the IIST BTech application form 2024 on the official website. To apply for IIST B.Tech admission 2024, candidates must qualify for the JEE Advanced exam.
IIST is known for its flagship program of B.Tech which is being offered in 2 specializations, namely, Aerospace Engineering and Avionics. For the B.Tech admissions at IIST, candidates must appear for the both JEE Main and JEE Advanced examinations and participate in the counselling for final seat allotments. What are the eligibility requirements for the IIST B.Tech 2024 exam?
The student should follow the below-mentioned eligibility requirements of the IIST B.Tech 2024 exam if he/she wishes to appear in this exam. If he/she doesn't fulfil the requirements of this exam, he/she won't be able to appear in this exam.
- The students who belong to the General, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories should be born on or after October 1, 1996.
- The students who belong to the SC, ST, and PwD categories should be born on or after October 1, 1991.
- The student should be an Indian National.
- The student should have at least 75% aggregate marks in class 12 board or equivalent examination.
- The student who belongs to SC/ST/PwD categories should have scored a minimum of 65% aggregate marks in the qualifying board examinations.
- The student should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, A language and any other subject (other than the subjects which are mentioned here).
- Those who belong to the General category should have got minimum of 20% aggregate marks and a minimum of 5% marks in individual subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
- Those who belong to the EWS/OBC-NCL should have got a minimum of 18% aggregate marks and a minimum of 4.5% marks in the above three individual subjects.
- Those who belong to the SC/ST/PWD should have a minimum of 10% aggregate and a minimum of 2.5% marks in the above individual subjects.

What steps are needed while filling out the IIST 2024 application form?
To fill out the IIST B.Tech 2024 application form, the students should follow the below-mentioned steps during the registration process.
- First, the student will go to the online application portal (http://admission.iist.ac.in) and choose the link to 'Undergraduate/Postgraduate/PhD Admission'.
- Now the student will register by filling in the required details.
- Once the registration is complete, the student will get a system-generated IIST Registration Number.
- Now the student will pay the application/ registration fee online.
- Then, the student will submit the form and take a printout of the form for future use.
