This year, the students will get admission to IIMC institutes through the CUET PG (Common University Entrance Test- PG) exam. The CUET PG 2024 exam is going to be conducted from 11th to 28th March 2024. The conducting authority of the CUET PG 2024 exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the CUET PG 2024 application form for IIMC on December 26 2023. The last date to fill out the CUET PG 2024 exam was February 10, 2024. 

 

The students who have successfully registered for the CUET PG 2024 exam, will be able to download their admit card from the official website of the exam cuet.nta.nic.in, from March 7, 2024. The Entrance Examination for the language courses - PG Diploma Courses in Journalism (Odia, Marathi, Malayalam and Urdu) – will be conducted separately by the authorities.

 

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) conducts the IIMC Entrance Exam, which is a computer-based test and is conducted on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA) along with the CUET (PG).

The exam consists of MCQs and objective-type questions. Students who clear the IIMC entrance exam have to appear for Personal Interview (PI) and those who clear both these rounds are admitted to various courses offered at IIMC.

What are the eligibility criteria for the IIMC 2024 examination?

Eligibility requirements for PG Diploma programs (Through CUET PG 2024 exam):

 

·       Qualification: The student should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination from any recognized university/ institution.

·       MarksThe student should have obtained/scored 50% marks in graduation level to apply for the CUET PG 2024 exam.

·       Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear in the CUET PG 2024 exam.

·       Appearing: The students appearing in the final year of 2024 are also allowed to sit in the CUET PG 2024 exam.

 

 

 

For PG Diploma Courses (Odia, Marathi, Malayalam & Urdu):

 

·        Nationality: The student should be an Indian citizen to be eligible for the exam.

·        Qualification: The student should have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or institute.

·        Age Limit: The student’s age should be 25 years as on 1st August 2024 (born on 1st August 1997 or later) for the general category.

·        For SC/ ST/ Differently abled students, the maximum age limit is 30 years as of 1st August 2024 (DOB must be 1st August 1992 or later).

·        The student should not be more than 28 years as of 1st August 2024 (DOB should be as of 1st August 1994 or later) for OBC category students.

·        Selection: The students should clear/qualify for the entrance exam to be eligible for admission.

·        Appearing: The students appearing in the final year examination will also be eligible for the exam.

Steps to follow while registering for the CUET PG 2024 exam (IIMC 2024):

The students will follow the steps below while participating in the CUET PG 2024 exam registration process. Through this exam, the students will get admission to IIMC.

  • First, the student will go to the official website of CUET PG exam 2024 nta.ac.in.
  • Now the student will click on the CUET PG 2024 Registration link.
  • After that, the student will enter the required details such as registration ID, password, etc.
  • Now the student is supposed to fill in the personal details, qualification details, preferred exam centre, etc. carefully in the application form.
  • Now the student will upload the relevant documents in the right format.
  • Then the student will sign with the black pen on the white paper and scan it. He/she will upload the photograph in the space provided
  • At the end, the student will pay the application fees for the CUET PG 2024 exam and submit the form.
