23 October 2026 | Academic Session: 2026–27

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced the Stray Vacancy Round schedule for MBBS (Code 103) admissions under NEET UG 2026. According to its notice dated 22 October, fresh registration and choice filling are scheduled to begin at noon on 23 October for the 2026–27 academic session.

For aspirants still seeking admission, the crucial requirement is fresh choice filling. Preferences submitted in Rounds 1, 2 and 3 will not carry forward; registration alone will not secure consideration for allotment.

Key Dates to Remember

  • Fresh registration: 23 October, noon, to 27 October, noon.

  • Application corrections and document uploads: 23 October, noon, to 27 October, noon.

  • Fresh choice filling: 23 October, noon, to 27 October, 12:30 pm.

  • Tentative result: 27 October 2026.

Registration closes 30 minutes before choice filling. Candidates should treat these as separate deadlines and complete both requirements well in advance. The result date remains provisional, not a confirmed declaration.

Who Is Eligible?

NEET UG 2026 qualification is essential, but candidates must also satisfy GGSIPU’s admission conditions. Seat allocation will follow NEET All India Rank, subject to the applicable eligibility, category and region requirements.

Candidates will not be considered if they:

  • Have not completed the required registration or submitted fresh choices.

  • Currently hold, or have already joined, a State Quota or Central/All India Quota seat at the time of the Stray Round.

  • Were allotted an MBBS seat in GGSIPU Round 3 but did not complete the prescribed post-allotment process.

Registration Fee and Essential Documents

First-time applicants can submit the online form and pay the non-refundable ₹2,500 application fee. Candidates who have already applied and paid can correct their forms and upload supporting documents during the designated window.

Existing applicants should check their Stray Round status rather than assume earlier participation is sufficient. Adhere to the applicable requirements and verify that your submission is confirmed on the portal.

Check Category, Sub-Category and Region entries carefully. Inaccurate claims or missing valid certificates could lead to cancellation of a seat allotted under the claimed category or region.

Keep these documents ready:

  • NEET UG 2026 scorecard.

  • Class 12 marksheet and pertinent educational certificates.

  • Valid reserved-category certificates, wherever applicable.

  • Documents supporting the claimed region or Delhi category.

This is not an exhaustive counselling checklist; additional documents may be required.

Special Conditions for Delhi Quota

Delhi quota applicants must have studied Classes 11 and 12 at a recognised school or college in Delhi and passed the qualifying examination there. Both marksheets must be uploaded as one PDF.

The notice also states that candidates with a compartment in the qualifying examination will not be considered for admission.

What Happens After Allotment?

Candidates allotted a seat in this round must take admission. Choose preferences carefully rather than listing colleges you would be unwilling to join.

The notice does not provide college-wise vacancy numbers. Previously circulated cutoff reports cannot stand in for the current vacancy list.

Reporting, fee-payment and joining timelines have not been detailed. Further instructions are expected separately on 27 October. Monitor the official counselling portal and retain application, payment and choice-submission acknowledgements.
