Eligibility and quota options

Candidates must qualify NEET PG 2026 and meet the requirements for the quota they select. State Quota eligibility is subject to West Bengal’s rules and may include candidates who completed MBBS in the state, as well as eligible in-service candidates. Private Management Quota is open to eligible candidates who completed MBBS in India; studying in West Bengal is not mandatory. NRI applicants must meet the relevant sponsorship requirements and provide supporting documents. They cannot opt for NRI Quota alongside State or Management Quota.

The bulletin lists the qualifying percentiles as 50th for UR/EWS, 40th for SC/ST/OBC, 45th for UR/EWS candidates with benchmark disability, and 40th for SC/ST/OBC candidates with benchmark disability. Candidates should check for any official revision to these criteria.

Counselling fee and security deposit

The one-time counselling fee is ₹3,000 and is non-refundable. Candidates seeking private college seats may also need to pay a security deposit: ₹2 lakh for Private College State Quota or ₹5 lakh for Private College Management Quota. Refund and forfeiture conditions depend on the circumstances, so candidates should read the bulletin before selecting private seats.

How to register

Visit the WBMCC PG Medical Counselling portal and follow the registration link. Candidates will need their NEET PG details and should enter their personal, service and category information carefully.

After payment, download the Candidate Profile Letter and transaction proof. The bulletin states that some details may be corrected before payment through the registration-unlocking option, but changes are not permitted after payment. For verification, carry original documents and self-attested photocopies, including the NEET PG admit card and rank card, MBBS records, permanent medical registration, internship proof and applicable category, service or NRI documents. The stated internship completion cut-off is 30 September 2026.

Once verified, candidates can fill and lock their choices. Locked choices cannot be changed. WBMCC has described the schedule as tentative; candidates should check the official portal for any revised notice before acting on the dates.
