What are the eligibility requirements for the CTET 2024 examination?
It is important to check the eligibility requirements for the CTET 2024 exam before participating in its registration process because if the aspirant doesn't meet the eligibility requirements of the CTET 2024 exam, he/she will not be allowed to appear in the CTET 2024 exam. Here are the minimum qualification requirements for the CTET 2024 examination.
CTET Eligibility Criteria requirements for I-V class:
- The student should have cleared senior secondary (or its equivalent exam) with at least 50% marks or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- OR
- The student should have cleared senior secondary (or its equivalent exam) with at least 45% marks or appeared in the final year of the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
- OR
- The student should have cleared senior secondary (or equivalent exam) with at least 50% marks or appeared in the final year of 4- four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- OR
- The student should have cleared senior secondary (or equivalent exam) with at least 50% marks or appeared in the final year of a 2- 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- OR
- The student should have a graduation degree with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.
- OR
- The student should have a post-graduation degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed degree.
CTET 2024 eligibility requirements for VI-VIII class:
- The student should have a graduation degree or pass or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- OR
- The student should have a graduation degree with at least 50% marks and pass or appear in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- OR
- The student should have a graduation degree with at least 45% marks and passed or are appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
- OR
- The student should have cleared/passed the senior Secondary (or its equivalent exam) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- OR
- The student should have cleared/passed the Senior Secondary (or its equivalent exam) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B. Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/ B. Sc. Ed.
- OR
- The student should have a graduation degree with at least 50% marks and pass or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
- OR
- The student should have a Post-graduation degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
Age limit requirements for the CTET 2024 exam:
- There is no upper age limit for aspirants who are planning to appear in the CTET 2024 exam while the minimum age should be 17 years to appear in this examination.
Reservation policy for the CTET 2024 examination:
- The students who belong to the reserved categories like the SC/ST/OBC/PB will be given a relaxation of up to 5% in the qualifying marks.
