If you are looking for an MBBS or BDS seat in Chhattisgarh, you have very little time left to join the NEET UG 2026 Stray Vacancy Round. The Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh (CGDME), released its Round 4 registration and college-selection notice on 16 October 2026. The Clear Vacancy Seat Matrix attached to it lists 180 vacancies: 87 MBBS and 93 BDS.

A listed seat does not mean you will get it. Your allotment will depend on your eligibility, merit, quota, category and the choices you submit.

Registration and Choice-Filling Deadlines

As per the notice, all timings follow the server time:

  • Registration: 17 October, 11 am, to 18 October, 5 pm

  • Choice filling and locking: 17 October, 11 am, to 18 October, 11:59 pm

These two deadlines are different. If you are registering on 18 October, you must finish your application by 5 pm, even though choice locking stays open until 11:59 pm.

If you registered earlier and are eligible for this round, you must submit your college choices again. Your earlier choices have been cleared.

What the 180-Seat Matrix Shows

The vacancies are spread across 15 medical and dental colleges, both government and private.

  • MBBS: Abhishek I Mishra Memorial Medical College has 26 seats, Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences has 23, and Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences has 20.

  • BDS: Maitri College of Dentistry has 20 vacancies. Government Dental College, Raipur, and New Horizon Dental College have 18 each, and Rungta College of Dental Sciences has 17.

The matrix includes government, management and minority-quota seats. So do not treat a college’s total vacancies as its government seats.

One MBBS seat at Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur, comes under the Freedom Fighter sub-category. CGDME has issued a separate document-verification notice for it. The matrix also notes that NRI quota seats have been converted into management quota under the applicable rules.

Who Can Participate?

A valid NEET UG 2026 qualification is a must, but it does not make you eligible for every seat. As per the state rules quoted by CGDME, candidates who registered earlier can take part only if they were not allotted a seat in earlier rounds. New candidates can also register if they meet the prescribed conditions.

If you already received a seat in an earlier round, check your eligibility first. Do not assume you can enter the Stray Round.

Chhattisgarh domicile and other state conditions apply to government and state-quota seats. Candidates from other states may be eligible for private-college management quota seats where the rules allow it, but they should not assume they qualify for state-quota seats.

What Should You Do?

Visit the CGDME counselling portal and open the Round 4 links.

  • Confirm your eligibility and carefully review the college and quota options.

  • Complete your registration or edit the details that are allowed. As per the notice, NEET result data, mobile numbers and email addresses cannot be changed.

  • Check the portal for any extra payment needed when you add private medical college options.

  • Lock your choices before the deadline and save the confirmation.

Choose only the colleges you are ready to join. The notice warns that your security deposit may be forfeited if you do not join, or if you leave, a seat allotted in Round 2 or a later round.

Result and Reporting Dates Not Announced Yet

The 16 October notice covers only registration and choice filling. It does not give a result date or a college-reporting schedule.

CGDME says it may consider further allotment if vacancies remain and time permits, or if the MCC counselling schedule changes. This is only a possibility, not a confirmed extra round. Keep checking the official portal for the next updates.
