The AP NEET PG 2023 counselling will happen to fill 50% of the seats for students from Andhra Pradesh and for management quota seats. The counselling process will be online, and a total of 950 seats will be allocated for the state quota and 403 seats for the management quota. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for the remaining 50% of seats under the All-India Quota. After registration, they need to fill in their preferences for colleges and courses based on their NEET rank. YSRUHS will hold three rounds of counselling for AP PG medical admission in 2023, which will include a mop-up round and an extra stray vacancy round if any seats are still vacant.

AP NEET PG 2023 Counselling: Eligibility Criteria

The AP NEET-PG admission eligibility criteria are outlined as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a recognized MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate from an accredited medical college or university.
  2. Internship: Candidates should have concluded their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before the 31st of March in the year they are applying for NEET-PG.
  3. Registration: Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCC) or the State Medical Council (SMC).
  4. Citizenship: NEET-PG is open to Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals.to appear for NEET-PG.
  5. Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the NEET-PG exam, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 40% marks.
  6. Age Limit: There is no age limit for NEET-PG.
  7. Only candidates who are residents of Andhra Pradesh or have completed their primary medical education in a college within the state will be eligible for seats in government colleges.
