The Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal is also known as MCODS Manipal. Earlier it was known as the College of Dental Surgery. 

MCODS Manipal is the first self-financing dental college in the private sector of India. It was founded in the year 1965. When this dental college was started, it had an intake of 40 students which was later increased to 100 admissions from 1983 - 84 onwards.

MCODS Manipal is a constituent college of Manipal University. This dental college is approved/recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and the Malaysian Dental Council. It is also Certified with ISO 9001:2008. T

MCODS Manipal is currently known for its quality dental education which is at par with international standards.

In MCODS Manipal, the students can find various bachelor's and master's degrees in dental sciences field. Admisison to these programs is based on the entrance exams.
