Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences offers students various undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs. Admissions to these programs are given through the NEET entrance examinations. The students who wish to pursue any program from MIMSR should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility requirements of the desired program. If the student meets all the requirements of the program, he/she will be called by the college authorities for admission and if the student fails to meet the eligibility requirements of the desired program, he/she will not get admission into that program.

The total duration of the MBBS program is 5.5 years in MIMSR. These 5.5 years are divided into 10 semesters. Each semester is dedicated to certain medical subjects. The students who are admitted to this program learn about different medical subjects each semester. During the first 4.5 years of MBBS, the students study in the medical college and the final year of their MBBS degree, they complete the mandatory rotatory internship in a hospital. The students get a stipend from the hospital or the work they do during the internship. The duration of the internship is 1 year.

MBBS internship duration in MIMSR:
The duration of the mandatory rotatory MBBS internship is 1 year in MIMSR. The students complete this internship in the final year of their MBBS program. During this time, the students work in a hospital and get a monthly stipend from the hospital for the work they do during their internship. During the internship period, the students work under various departments of the hospital for a specific period of time. through the internship, the students get real-world exposure and gain practical knowledge on various subjects.
