Maa Padmavati Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur: MBBS College Profile for 2026–27

As per the MBBS college list published by the NMC, MPIMS has received a Letter of Permission (LoP) dated 5 August 2026 to start the MBBS course. The NMC-listed yearly intake is 100 MBBS seats for the 2026–27 session.

There is one thing to keep in mind. The Essentiality Certificate given earlier by the Chhattisgarh Government reportedly mentioned a proposal for 150 undergraduate medical seats. This figure should not be treated as the final approved intake.

Because this is a new college, students should see for themselves how much clinical exposure they will really get. During a campus visit, ask about the number of patients in the OPD, bed occupancy in the hospital, emergency services, availability of faculty and clinical postings for MBBS students.

MPIMS can become a good private MBBS option in Chhattisgarh for 2026–27. Its NMC listing, its location in Raipur and its proposed hospital facilities are positive points. However, the college does not yet have a long academic track record, so students should take their decision carefully.
