ELIGIBILITY FOR NEET- PG:
NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is an entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for admission to various postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, PG Diploma, etc. in India.
The eligibility criteria for NEET-PG admission are as follows:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a recognized MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a recognized medical college or university.
- Internship: Candidates should have completed their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before 31st March of the year they are appearing for NEET-PG.
- Registration: Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council (SMC).
- Citizenship: Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are eligible to appear for NEET-PG.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the NEET-PG exam, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 40% marks.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for NEET-PG.
The educational qualifications required for MD (Doctor of Medicine) or MS (Master of Surgery) programs:
- Candidates must have completed MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized medical college or university.
- Candidates must have completed their one-year rotating internship after the completion of the MBBS course.
- Candidates must have a valid scorecard of NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Post Graduate) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The educational qualifications required for PG Diploma courses in India are:
- Candidates must have completed MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized medical college or university.
- Candidates must have completed their one-year rotating internship after the completion of the MBBS course.
