Institute of Dental Sciences is one of the sister institutes of Rohilkhand Charitable Educational Trust (Regd.) situated in one of the major cities of Rohilkhand Region Bareilly (Pilibhit Bypass Road Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh – 243006) previously in the historic era called the capital of Rohilkhand region. It is one of the premier institutes in this region which is providing super-specialty clinics for Oral Health Care. The Institute was founded in the year 2002 and Post-Graduation started in the year 2008. It is associated with its own sister institute named Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital which is one of the biggest medical colleges in the region. 

The college offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in dentistry, including the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degrees. The College offers, a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), a Four Years program and One Year Compulsory rotating Internship comprises of 100 seats and is duly recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. It is a five-year degree program and includes lectures & seminars in Dental and Medical sciences lectures, preclinical labs, practicals, Hospital wards, and Dental clinics.

Admission criteria for BDSThe student must qualify in NEET for admission in BDS – NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted for granting admission for UG seats at the Institute of Dental Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria for BDS:

Candidates who are citizens of India, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and foreign nationals are eligible to take NEET.

Qualifying Exam: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized board.

Minimum Age Requirement: 17 years as on December 31 of the year of admission

Maximum Age Limit: No upper age limit

Utter Pradesh NEET Counselling Process 2023:

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, UP released the UP NEET Counselling for /BDS/BAMS, & A.H. admissions 2023 with the help of the NEET Cut-off applicants get ideas of which medical and Dental colleges for MBBS and BDS courses to apply for based on their rank and score in the NEET UG examination.

The NEET 2023 Cut-off will be based on various parameters like the number of appearing candidates the number of seats the difficulty level of the examination and last year’s admission record.

The Cut-off marks will be announced to only those candidates who qualify for the NEET 2023 examination.

The Admission Seekers who will secure the highest mark will get the top rank whereas the candidates with low marks will be allotted the lowest rank.

The test-taking Agency will announce the opening and closing ranks for different Medical Colleges.

The closing rank for a particular college will be based on the total number of seats in a college with the total number of candidates who appeared in NEET 2023 Counselling.

Registration Process: To fill out the UP NEET 2023 counselling application form candidates are required to register online at the official portal of the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow. It is essential to note that online registration is mandatory for all applicants.

  • Candidates can apply online by visiting the website https://upneet.gov.in.
  • For registration, candidates will need to use their NEET-UG roll number and the email address used in AI-NEET-UG registration.
  • They must follow the instructions on the screen to complete the registration process.
  • Once completed, the candidate's AI-NEET-UG registration details will be displayed.
  • Candidates are required to make an online payment of 2,000 rupees using Net banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
  • An SMS confirmation will be sent to their registered mobile number used for AI-NEET UG registration to confirm successful registration.
  • Candidates should note the password they create during registration for choice filling.
  • After a successful payment, candidates will receive a Transaction number and registration number on their registered mobile number.

Online Security Money Payment:

  • Eligible candidates for choice filling must make a successful online payment of Rs. 30,000/- for Government seats and Rs. 200000/- for Private seats as security money.
  • After paying the security money and the announcement of the state merit list, candidates can access online seat choice filling as per the earlier schedule.
  • Candidates will have the option to take a printout of their online payment receipt.

Seat Matrix and Merit List: The UP NEET counseling (Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow) will provide a list of participating institutes along with the available seats for each category. Following this, the UP NEET merit list will be released.

Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates included in the state merit list can proceed with choice filling. They need to log in to their registered account to access the choice-filling option. It is crucial to note that candidates who fail to fill in their preferred choices will not be considered for the seat allotment process. Additionally, they must lock their choices before the specified deadline to be eligible for the subsequent UP NEET counseling 2023 stages.

Seat Allotment List: The UP NEET counseling (Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow) will prepare the seat allotment list for UP NEET 2023 counseling based on the applicant's merit position and the choices filled by them.

Document Verification: Applicants who have been allotted a seat and wish to proceed with it must report to the respective institute for document verification. During the verification process candidates must carry their original certificates and two attested copies for validation. Additionally, they will need to pay the tuition fee for the current academic year to confirm their admission.

Eligibility for NEET- PG: 

NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is an entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for admission to various postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, MDS, PG Diploma, etc. in India.

The eligibility criteria for NEET-PG admission are as follows:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a recognized BDS/MBBS degree or provisional BDS/MBBS pass certificate from a recognized medical college or university.

Internship: Candidates should have completed their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before 31st March of the year in which they are appearing for NEET-PG.

Registration: Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Dental Council of India (DCI) or the Medical Council of India.

Citizenship: Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are eligible to appear for NEET-PG.
