Goenka Research Institute of Dental Sciences (GRIDS) is a private institution founded in 2011 and managed by the Bholaram Education Society (BES). The college's course is affiliated with Gujarat University and accredited by the Dental Council of India and the Government of India. It has an annual intake of 100 seats in BDS and 23 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.
GRIDS Gandhinagar is situated in a created area of 133934.9 square feet with cutting-edge infrastructure that has set high standards in terms of Dental Education and fosters a great student-oriented, patient-friendly atmosphere with dedicated faculty in place.
GRIDS Gandhinagar currently boasts 247 state-of-the-art electronic dental chairs and a well-maintained laboratory with all of the latest technology. There are four technology-driven, air-conditioned lecture halls totalling 6400 square feet. Each huge lecture hall has enough seating, a wide green board, and full audio-visual and multimedia projection capabilities. There is a large 3600-square-foot examination hall with space for 250 students at a time, as well as seminar rooms.
A 500-seat centrally air-conditioned auditorium is available for use. The library has a large space and has a sizable collection of books as well as back volumes of national and international journals. Additionally, there is a top-notch E-Library available for the use of the students. modern preclinical labs with patient simulators and a campus with Wi-Fi. The facility has a museum dedicated to dental education. The campus has large, air-conditioned dorms for boys and girls apart from staff quarters. The vast campus playground is perfect for volleyball, basketball, football, and cricket. There is a designated cycling and running track there. For clinical practice, GRIDS Gandhinagar is connected to the 100-bed Goenka super-specialty hospital.
The vision of GRIDS Gandhinagar is to "Attain excellence in dental health education, serve the oral health care needs of all people with compassion irrespective of religion, caste or creed, particularly the poor and the needy, inculcate moral values amongst students to mould them into doctors who would lead a principled life of honesty and integrity, give a special emphasis on community-oriented service through the graining and effective participation of members of the community, acquire procedural skills in various aspects of dental surgery etc."
The mission of GRIDS Gandhinagar is "to prepare, through excellence in educational experience, globally competent oral health care professionals with the highest ethical standards combined with great sensitivity to local expectations and social values."
