The GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research offers various undergraduate, postgraduate-level medical courses. The student who wishes to pursue any of the programs should make sure that he/she is fulfilling all the requirements of the program. Available undergraduate courses:

MBBS- The full form of this program is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. It is an undergraduate-level medical program. The duration of this program is 5.5 years. After successful completion of this program, the graduates become certified doctors. 

B.Sc. Paramedical courses- The full form of B.Sc. is Bachelor of Science. Under this course, the college offers 6 specialisations. The students can pursue any of the specialisations as per their interests. These 6 specialisations are given below.

1) B.Sc. Anesthesia Technology

2) B.Optometry

3) B.Sc. Radiology & Imaging Technology

4) B.Sc. Renal Dialysis Technology

Available Postgraduate courses:

MD/MS- The full form of MD is the Doctor of Medicine and the full form of MS is the Master of Surgery. The duration of these programs is 3 years. After completing these programs, the students become specialised doctors in their field of specialisation. Only MBBS graduates can pursue these programs. The eligiblity criteria are an essential part of the admission process. • The aspirant must have qualified for his/her class 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks.
• The compulsory subjects in class 12th should be Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• The student should have qualified for the NEET UG examination.
• After qualifying for the examination, the student should have participated in the counselling process.

The students study various different subjects related to the medical science field during this program. The course is divided into 10 semesters. Every semester is dedicated to certain subjects. It is mandatory for MBBS students to do a 1-year internship in any hospital. This enhances the mental, technical and behavioural skills the MBBS graduate will require while managing patients. Completing the internship period is very important for MBBS students as they will get their MBBS degree only after completing the mandatory internship. This also makes the students eligible for postgraduate admissions. While doing the internship, the students work under each department of the hospital for a certain period of time. Hostel fees:

• The student should have an MBBS degree from a recognised medical college. The Medical Council of India, New Delhi should recognise the degree.
• The aspirant should have qualified for the NEET PG examination.
• After qualifying for the exam, the students should have sat for the counselling process.
