Kolkata, October 3, 2026: The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released the provisional list of candidates eligible for Round 3 choice filling, along with the latest MBBS and BDS seat matrix. If your name is in the list, you must complete choice filling and locking by 10 AM on October 4, 2026.
Both documents were published on October 1 on the official WBMCC UG Medical and Dental Counselling portal. The deadline is close, so please do not wait for the last few minutes to submit and lock your choices.
Provisional List Has 8,114 Candidates
The official document is titled "Provisional List of Candidates Eligible for Choice Filling in Round-3." It has the details of 8,114 candidates over 140 pages, including:
- NEET All India Rank
- Candidate's name
- Category and PwD status
- Candidate type
- State or management quota details
Remember, this is not the Round 3 allotment result. Being in the list only confirms that you can take part in choice filling. It does not guarantee an MBBS or BDS seat.
Round 3 Matrix Lists 711 Seats
A row-wise calculation of the official Round 3 seat matrix shows a total of 711 available seats: 632 MBBS and 79 BDS.
Here is the quota-wise distribution:
-
MBBS State Quota: 231 seats
-
MBBS Private Management Quota: 377 seats
-
MBBS NRI Quota: 24 seats
-
BDS State Quota: 69 seats
-
BDS Private Management Quota: 10 seats
The matrix has 64 institute-programme-quota rows, and they cover 47 distinct institutions. Please do not read 64 rows as 64 different colleges, because one institution can have separate entries for state, management and NRI quotas.
Some of the larger private management quota entries are 113 MBBS seats at Raniganj Institute of Medical Science and 77 seats at Krishnan Agar Institute of Medical Science. The matrix also has government MBBS seats and BDS vacancies in several institutions.
Choice Filling Closes on October 4
Eligible candidates can fill and lock their choices till 10 AM on October 4. While preparing your preferences, check these things carefully:
-
College and course
-
State, management or NRI quota

Arrange your choices in your real order of preference. Also make sure your choices are locked successfully, and save the confirmation for future reference.
