Kolkata, 8 October 2026: The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) is scheduled to announce the NEET UG 2026 Round 3 seat allotment result today after 4 PM. Candidates looking for MBBS or BDS admission should check the official counselling portal for the update.

When we checked, the portal was showing the revised candidate list and seat matrix, but there was no link for the Round 3 allotment result yet. A scheduled release time does not mean the result is already live.

711 Vacancies Across Three Quotas

Adding up the entries in WBMCC's 1 October seat matrix gives 711 vacancies: 632 MBBS and 79 BDS seats. Here is the quota-wise breakup:

Quota

Vacant Seats

State Quota

300

Private Management Quota

387

NRI Quota

24

These are not 711 government college seats. The total includes State, Management and NRI quotas, and the State Quota seats are in both government and private institutions.

The matrix lists nine MBBS vacancies each at Midnapore Medical College and North Bengal Medical College, and 12 BDS vacancies at North Bengal Dental College. These are vacancies before allotment. They are not seats that have been confirmed as filled.

How to Check the Round 3 Result

Once the result is published:

  • Visit WBMCC's official UG Medical and Dental counselling page.
  • Open the Round 3 allotment result notice.
  • Use Candidate Registration and Login to download your own allotment letter.
  • Read the course, college, allotted quota and reporting instructions carefully.

Reporting from 12 to 14 October

Allotted candidates must report on 12, 13 or 14 October 2026, between 10 AM and 4 PM, as per server time. For admission, you will need physical document verification, payment of college fees and the applicable bond formalities.

Admissions for private medical colleges will take place at designated government medical colleges in Kolkata. Private dental admissions will be handled at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College. Confirm the designated venue before you travel.

If you have been upgraded from an earlier college, you must collect your documents, the fee you submitted and the server-generated relieving letter before joining the new institute.

Keep Your Documents Ready

Prepare originals and self-attested photocopies of the following:

  • NEET UG admit card and rank card
  • Candidate Profile Letter, payment receipt and allotment letter
  • Class 12 marksheet, age proof and medical certificate
  • Domicile, category, PwD or NRI documents, wherever applicable
  • Successfully verified slip and recent passport-size photographs

Follow the full checklist for your quota, because the requirements are not the same for every candidate.

Round 3 Rules and the Next Opportunity

Reporting is especially important in Round 3. Candidates who do not report after allotment are barred from further counselling and lose their security deposit, where applicable. Candidates admitted in Round 3 cannot surrender their seat or take part in later rounds.

Candidates who remain unallotted may still get a chance in the stray vacancy round, subject to eligibility. Registration is scheduled for 15 to 16 October, and the allotment result is due by noon on 23 October 2026.

Keep checking WBMCC's official notices, and get your reporting documents ready before the admission window opens.
