Kolkata: The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has put out a revised tentative schedule dated 17 September 2026 for WB NEET UG 2026 counselling. The big highlights — an extra reporting and admission day has been added for Round 2, and the full timelines for Round 3 and the Online Stray Vacancy Round are finally out. This revised schedule covers State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota seats across West Bengal.
What’s new for Round 2?
The main update here is that WBMCC has added 19 September 2026 as one more day for candidates who got a seat in Round 2 to complete their reporting and admission, with the window running from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (server time).
Earlier, this reporting window was only for 16, 17 and 18 September (10 AM–4 PM). With this revision, candidates now have an extra day to sort out their admission formalities.
Worth noting — WBMCC has made it clear that this additional day is strictly meant for “Reporting and Admission of allotted candidates to the allotted institute.” So don’t mistake this for a reopening of Round 2 registration or choice filling — that window has already closed, and the Round 2 result itself was declared earlier, on 15 September after 6 PM. WBMCC has confirmed that the Round 2 result status is already up on its website.
Where exactly should you report?
Here’s a practical detail worth remembering — the venue for reporting isn’t always the college you’ve been allotted to.
- For private medical colleges, WBMCC has arranged for the admission process to happen at designated Government Medical Colleges in Kolkata (check the separate notice on the official website for details.)
- For private dental colleges, the revised schedule points candidates to Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College.
So before heading out, don’t assume you’ll be reporting at the private college campus itself — check WBMCC’s notice for the exact venue first.
What to carry — documents, fee and bond
Admission only gets finalised after physical document verification/re-verification, so make sure you’re carrying:
- Original documents
- Required college fee
- Bond (if applicable to your college)
In short, the whole process works like this: seat allotment → physical reporting → document verification → fee payment/bond formalities → confirmed admission.
A quick note for upgraded candidates
If your seat got upgraded from an earlier round, there’s one extra step for you — first sort out the formalities at your previous college, collect your documents and fee-related records, and get the server-generated relieving letter. Only then head to your newly allotted college to complete admission.
