The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has put out an important update for candidates in the WB NEET UG AYUSH Counselling 2026 process. As per two official notices dated 25 September 2026 uploaded on the WBMCC UG AYUSH portal, round 1 admission/reporting has been extended by one extra day — 1 October 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (server time).

This is especially useful news if you’ve already received a Round 1 allotment but couldn’t complete your physical reporting within the earlier dates.

What changed on September 25?

WBMCC published:

  • An Admission Notice (25-09-2026) covering the admission process, required documents, undertakings, fees and bond rules; and
  • An Urgent Admission Notice (25-09-2026) adding 1 October as an extra reporting day.

It’s worth being clear about what this isn’t — this is not a new counselling round, and it’s not Round 2 registration. It’s simply an extension of the Round 1 admission/reporting stage.

The updated Round 1 reporting window (server time)

The earlier tentative schedule had fixed Round 1 reporting on 28, 29 and 30 September (11 AM–4 PM). With the urgent notice added in, the reporting dates now effectively look like this:

28 Sept + 29 Sept + 30 Sept + 1 Oct 2026 — 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Just to be clear: only the admission day has been extended. Steps like Round 1 registration and choice filling haven’t reopened through this notice.

Round 1 result is already out

The WBMCC portal also shows “Round 1 Result Published” and hosts the provisional seat allotment result PDF for WB UG AYUSH Counselling 2026, covering courses like BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BNYS under the relevant quota and category options. Since this result is labelled provisional, your admission is only confirmed once you’ve successfully reported and gone through verification at the allotted institute.

What allotted candidates need to do now

According to the Admission Notice, you’ll need to report to your allotted college with:

  • your individual allotment letter
  • the verification slip
  • original documents plus one set of self-attested photocopies
  • 4 recent passport-size photos
  • any applicable category, domicile or PwD documents (where relevant)
  • the required fees and bond/undertaking as instructed by the institute

One key instruction to keep in mind: your admission needs to be recorded through the NIC server at the college within the reporting time. Make sure you get the server-generated admission letter (or a cancellation/surrender document, if that applies to you) — offline paperwork alone may not count as a validly recorded admission.

The notice also mentions that colleges may hold on to certain original documents — such as your Class 12 certificate/marksheet and domicile certificate for State Quota candidates — and are required to give you a receipt or acknowledgement for it. Be sure to collect this and keep it somewhere safe.

What comes after October 1?

Based on the currently published tentative schedule, round 2 registration is expected to start from 3 October 2026. That said, treat the WBMCC portal as the final word on this, and keep an eye out for any fresh notices.

For now, here’s the simple takeaway: if you have a Round 1 allotment, use the extra day on October 1 (11 AM–4 PM) to get your admission done properly — early, and with all your documents in order.
