UP NEET PG 2023 Counselling: Eligibility Criteria

The UP NEET-PG admission eligibility criteria are outlined as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a recognized MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate from an accredited medical college or university.
  2. Internship: Candidates should have concluded their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before the 31st of March in the year they are applying for NEET-PG.
  3. Registration: Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCC) or the State Medical Council (SMC).
  4. Citizenship: NEET-PG is open to Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals.to appear for NEET-PG.
  5. Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the NEET-PG exam, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 40% marks.
  6. Age Limit: There is no age limit for NEET-PG.
  7. Only candidates who are residents of UP or have completed their primary medical education in a college within the state will be eligible for seats in government colleges.

To apply for UP NEET PG medical/dental 2023 admission, candidates need to fill out an online application form. They should make sure to submit the filled application before the last date. Steps to register for UP NEET PG counselling:

  1. Click on 'PG Medical Counselling.'
  2. Enter the NEET PG roll no., Rank, and DOB.
  3. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number. Enter the captcha and click ‘Validate’.
  4. Make a note of your login credentials.
  5. Log in again to complete the second part of the application form.
  6. Provide your personal and academic details.
  7. Review the form before submitting it.

UP NEET PG 2023 Counselling: Registration fee

To complete the registration process for seat allotment, candidates are required to pay the UP NEET-PG counselling (Admission) fee. The fee consists of non-refundable components and must be paid online.

During the application process for UP NEET PG 2023 counselling, candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the documents listed below along with their application forms.

Now, candidates need to select the course and colleges they prefer from the list provided by UP State Government. Aspirants can choose options as they like. Aspirants need not forget to lock the preferences; otherwise, they will be locked automatically after the due date. Additionally, Aspirants should keep a copy of their preferences for future reference.

UP NEET-PG counselling (Admission) Process: Seat allotment

After candidates register online, the Office of the Chairman, office of the Director General Medical Education and Training, Utter Pradesh State Government Will Publish the allotment status for UP NEET PG based on their NEET PG 2023 scores. Only those candidates included in this list will be allowed to take part in the counselling process for UP NEET PG 2023.

UP NEET-PG counselling (Admission) Process: Counselling Process 

After the state merit list is announced, selected candidates will be allowed to take part in the UP PG 2023 medical counselling.

·        The counselling for UP NEET PG will happen online and will be conducted by the office of the Director General Medical Education and Training, Utter Pradesh State Government.

·        There will be two rounds of UP PG medical/dental counselling.

·        If there are still vacant seats, a mop-up round of UP NEET-PG counselling (Admission) will be organized.

·        During the counselling, candidates must register and choose their preferred courses and colleges.

·        It's essential for candidates to submit their choices within the given time.

·        The UP-NEET PG admission 2023 will depend on the availability of seats and the candidates' preferences.

·        Candidates who are allotted seats during the UP PG medical/dental counselling will need to report to the respective college.

·        During reporting, candidates must pay the admission fee and submit the necessary documents.

Candidates who are allocated a seat in the UP NEET PG 2023 counselling process are required to report to the allotted institute. They need to bring all their original certificates along with a self-attested copy.
