Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3 has reached an important stage. The Provisional Combined Merit List (after verification) is due to be published today, October 6, 2026, on the official counselling portal (ug.neetrajasthan.com). This list matters because it is made after verification is done, and it will be the main reference for Round-3 choice filling and seat allotment.

Please do not confuse today's combined merit list with the earlier October 4 Provisional State Merit List. The portal itself labels that earlier list as "before verification."

Merit list stages: What happened on Oct 4 and Oct 5, and what is due on Oct 6

The official portal shows Round 3 merit work in clear stages:

  • Oct 4: Provisional State Merit List (Round 3) – before verification
  • Separate provisional lists for the NRI, WDP (EXS1-EXS5), and WPP (WPP1-WPP3) categories were also issued so that candidates could be called for verification.
  • Oct 5: Special-category verification for candidates who had not been verified earlier (NRI/WDP/WPP), held at SMS Medical College, Jaipur (scheduled time: 10 AM to 3 PM).
  • Oct 6: Provisional Combined Merit List – after verification (scheduled)

If you come across media reports on the number of candidates in the Oct 4 list, remember that this is pre-verification data, because the portal clearly marks that list as "before verification."

Why today's combined merit list matters

Once the list is out, check your details right away, including:

  • Name and Registration ID
  • NEET marks and All India Rank (AIR)
  • Category/sub-category and domicile status
  • State merit number/position (where shown)

Wrong category or domicile details can become a big problem later during original document verification, and may affect your allotment.

The next big deadline: Oct 7 has two different cut-offs

Round 3 candidates should remember that Oct 7 has two separate deadlines:

  • Security deposit deadline: Oct 7, 2026 – 5:00 PM
  • Choice filling continues till auto-lock: Oct 7, 2026 – choices auto-lock at 11:45 PM

So do not assume you can pay the security deposit until 11:45 PM. The payment cut-off comes earlier, at 5 PM.

Security deposit: amounts you should keep ready (indicative)

As per the counselling fee structure usually followed for Rajasthan NEET UG counselling:

  • Govt MBBS seat: ₹50,000
  • Management MBBS in Govt Society/RUHS CMS: ₹2,00,000
  • NRI MBBS: ₹5,00,000
  • Private Medical MBBS: ₹5,00,000
  • BDS (Govt/RUHS CDS/Private Dental): ₹10,000

Also note that if your security deposit was forfeited earlier because you did not join after an allotment, the portal may ask you to meet the conditions again to take part in Round 3.

Choice filling: the step where most mistakes happen

Choice filling for Round 3 is open till Oct 7, and the system will auto-lock your preferences at 11:45 PM on the last day. One key rule: Round 1 and Round 2 choices do not carry forward to Round 3, so you must fill fresh choices.

If you have already joined a college and want an upgrade: your joined college is usually treated as the default last option. So if you do not get an upgrade, you keep your existing seat.

Vacant seat matrix: use the latest version

The Round-3 vacant seat matrix was updated on Oct 4 after the resignations dated Oct 2 and Oct 3. Base your preferences on the latest matrix, not on older vacancy lists.

What happens next (as per the Round-3 timeline)

  • Oct 9: Indicative allotment result
  • Oct 10: Provisional allotment result
  • Oct 11-15: Allotment letter printing, tuition fee deposit, and reporting/document submission (as per schedule)
