Jaipur, October 2, 2026: Round 3 of Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026 for MBBS and BDS admissions is now active on the official portal, ug.neetrajasthan.com. Only a day is left for the next major cut-off, so note that October 3 is the key deadline. Two different closing times apply that day: application fee payment ends at 4:00 PM, while Part 1 and Part 2 form submission stays open till 8:00 PM.

This difference matters. Paying the fee alone may not be enough if your Part 1/Part 2 submission is incomplete or pending. To avoid last-minute trouble, try to finish both steps well before the evening deadline.

What should candidates do right now?

As per the Round 3 timeline being followed, these are your priorities:

  • Pay the application/registration fee by October 3, 4:00 PM
  • Submit Part 1 and Part 2 by October 3, 8:00 PM
  • Continue or complete your choice filling within the available window
  • Pay the security deposit (where applicable) within the permitted dates

Other important Round 3 dates (as per the ongoing schedule)

After the October 3 deadline, Round 3 is expected to move quickly to the merit list and allotment stages. Here are the key upcoming events:

  • Provisional merit list: October 4, 2026
  • Defence/Para-Military/NRI certificate verification: October 5, 2026 (10 AM to 3 PM)
  • Verification-based provisional merit lists: October 5 (midnight)
  • Provisional combined merit list: October 6, 2026
  • Choice filling window: up to October 7, 2026 (the schedule also mentions the auto-lock timing)
  • Indicative allotment: October 9, 2026
  • Provisional allotment: October 10, 2026
  • Allotment letter printing, one-year tuition fee payment and college reporting/document submission: October 11 to 15, 2026

Keep checking the portal for any extra notices, especially if you fall under a special category (Defence/Para-Military/NRI/PwD).

Choice filling: don't depend on old preferences

Here is a key Round 3 rule: choices filled in Round 1 and Round 2 are not carried forward automatically. If you want an allotment or an upgrade in Round 3, be ready to fill fresh choices and review them carefully before the final lock or auto-lock.

If you have already joined a seat and want an upgrade, some updates mention an option to keep your already-joined college as the default last choice. That way, you keep your current seat if no higher preference is allotted. The cut-off for joined-candidate upgradation can be different from the general auto-lock timing, so it is safer to follow the latest notice on the portal.

Seats in Round 3: check the latest matrix on the portal

Reports based on the Round 3 seat matrix released on September 23 showed 3,490 seats (MBBS 3,023 and BDS 467). Seat availability keeps changing, though, because of resignations, upgrades and "virtual vacancy" movements during counselling. Before you lock your choices, check the current seat matrix shown for Round 3.

What to do today (Oct 2)

  • Keep your fee payment method ready, and don't leave the payment for just before 4 PM on Oct 3.
  • Check your Part 1/Part 2 status and complete any missing fields or documents.
  • Shortlist colleges and set a realistic preference order for Round 3.
  • Follow only the official portal, ug.neetrajasthan.com, for updates.
