Candidates can apply for registration for the NMAT Exam 2023 between August 1 to October 10, 2023, by visiting the registration window of the official website mba.com. After registration, candidates can download the admit card using the portal until December 16, 2023. August 12 will be the last date for scheduling. Candidates have the option to choose the exam date, using the exam date scheduling window by October 12, 2023. A National-Level Computer Based Exam, NMAT 2023 is an important exam to take MBA admission in 49 B-Schools in India and a few abroad colleges.

NMAT Exam 2023: Overview

NMAT by GMAC is a national-level entrance test organized by the NMIMS university for MBA admission in various reputed B-schools in India or abroad including South Africa, Philippines, Nigeria, and Morocco. NMAT’s long testing window allows the candidates to select their preferred test dates or online from home. There are test centers in 70+ cities across India where the candidates can take the test multiple times in a single test year to improve their scores. NMAT exam 2023 allows candidates to choose the section order by their choices.

NMAT Exam 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The NMAT by GMAC eligibility criteria are outlined as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification: Graduation or Final Year Student.
  2. Age: There is no age bar to apply the NMAT by GMAC.
  3. Citizenship: Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals.
  4. Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the final year of graduation, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 45% marks.
  5. Work experience: Having a minimum of 2 years of experience is good, but without experience, the candidate is equally eligible to apply.
  6. Maximum attempts: Candidates can apply for the NMAT by GMAC three times including ‘No Shows’.
  7. NRI candidates need to show standardized English proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL to non-English countries for their English skills.

NMAT by GMAC 2023: Process or steps

Registration and fee submission

  • Registering an account on the official NMAT by GMAC website using a valid email address and phone number
  • Completing the NMAT application for the year 2023 by providing personal, educational, and professional information
  • Choosing up to five preferred business schools to which your NMAT scores will be sent
  • Uploading a recent passport-sized photo in either JPG, JPEG, or PNG format
  • Making the online payment of Rs. 2800 (plus applicable taxes) for NMAT registration using credit cards, debit cards, net banking, or mobile wallets.
  • Selecting a suitable date, time, and location for the NMAT exam in 2023 from the available options
  • Obtaining and bringing the NMAT 2023 admit card to the examination center, along with a valid identification document

Scheduling NMAT: 3 attempts

GMAC permits candidates to participate in the NMAT exam up to three times, including their initial attempt and two subsequent retakes. To maximize their score improvement potential, candidates are encouraged to register for the NMAT 2023 exam as early as possible. If the candidates take their first attempt before October, then it may be possible to take 3 NMAT tests, between October and November, 2 attempts, and at last after November may be eligible for only 1 attempt.

NMAT by GMAC Exam 2023: Rescheduling

Candidates can reschedule the NMAT exam 2023 after 72 hours of the scheduled date and time. candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps to reschedule the test:

·        Log in to the NMAT account using credentials generated by the GMAC.

·        Choose the ‘Reschedule NMAT exam 2023’ tab on the GMAC website, MBA.com.

NMAT exam 2023: Selection process

The subsequent phase in the NMAT selection procedure involves the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI) round administered by the participating institutions.

Participating institutions may opt for a Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Case Discussion (CD) round in place of the traditional GD session. The ultimate admission verdict is determined by the cumulative performance in the NMAT online test and the GD-PI or equivalent round.
