New Private MBBS Colleges Approved for 2026

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved several new private medical colleges for the 2026-27 academic session, giving NEET UG aspirants more opportunities to pursue MBBS across India.

With the latest approvals, thousands of new MBBS seats have been added, especially in private medical colleges. According to the latest NMC seat matrix, India now has 73,643 MBBS seats in private medical colleges, making the private sector the largest contributor to MBBS education in the country.
