RAIPUR: Bringing much-awaited clarity for postgraduate medical aspirants, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Raipur, officially released the Round 1 Provisional Allotment List for NEET PG 2026–27 on October 31, 2026. Overall, 278 candidates have secured provisional MD and MS seats across Chhattisgarh under State Institutional and State Open Quotas.

However, merely featuring on the 17-page list—which displays candidate roll numbers, state ranks, quotas, and in-service bonus marks rather than names—does not guarantee admission. Shortlisted doctors must now complete mandatory physical document scrutiny and college reporting within stipulated deadlines.

Two-Phase Schedule for Document Scrutiny and Admission

DME has scheduled verification and admission across two distinct windows following official server timings. Crucially, aspirants must note that document scrutiny closes strictly one hour prior to the admission deadline. Since roll-number-wise slots remain unspecified in the notice, candidates should proactively confirm their reporting schedule with their designated centres.

  • Phase 1 Scrutiny: November 2 (10:00 AM) to November 6 (2:00 PM) | Admission: Closes at 3:00 PM on November 6

  • Phase 2 Scrutiny: November 10 (10:00 AM) to November 11 (4:00 PM) | Admission: Closes at 5:00 PM on November 11

Reporting Venues for Government and Private Colleges

To ensure seamless and transparent verification, authorities have earmarked separate reporting centres depending on the allotted institute:

  • Government Medical Colleges: Candidates allotted seats in state-run institutions (such as Pt. J.N.M. Medical College, Raipur) must report directly to their respective allotted colleges for both scrutiny and admission.

  • Private Medical Colleges: Aspirants allotted seats at Shri Balaji Institute of Medical Sciences (Raipur), Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences, or Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences (Bhilai) must not visit the private campuses directly. Instead, they must report to a centralised government venue: Teacher Training Institute Building, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University, Uparwara, Nava Raipur.

Essential Documents and Financial Formalities

In accordance with the state admission rules, candidates must carry all original credentials along with two sets of photocopies:

  • Academic & Identity Proofs: NEET PG 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard, all MBBS mark sheets, degree certificate, State Medical Council permanent registration, migration certificate (if applicable), Medical Fitness Certificate, three passport-size photographs, and a valid photo ID.

  • Reservation & Quota Certificates: Chhattisgarh permanent caste certificate (with valid non-creamy layer proof for OBC-NCL), EWS certificate issued on or after April 1 of the admission year, State Medical Board PwD certificate, domicile proof, and official service certificates for in-service doctors.

  • Fees & Bonds: Applicable college tuition fees (to be verified directly from the allotted institute), mandatory state service and seat-leaving bonds, plus a one-year tuition fee Bank Guarantee exclusively for private medical college admissions.

Stringent Counselling Rules to Remember

DME has emphasised that attending physical scrutiny is obligatory for every allotted candidate. Remaining absent or failing to substantiate category or quota eligibility during verification will lead to automatic disqualification from subsequent counselling rounds. Moreover, once a specific college and subject combination is allotted to a candidate, the exact same choice will not be re-allotted in future rounds.
