According to the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in a specific case (the directions/orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. (C) No.689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Ors.) dated 22-08-2017), candidates claiming to be NRI must send their relevant documents through email to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com. This can be done between 26th July 2023 (from midnight) to 28th July 2023 (till 10:00 AM). If candidates want to change their nationality status, make sure to follow these steps within the given time frame.
Candidates who want to change their nationality from Indian to NRI should keep an eye on the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in) for more instructions. It's essential to submit all the required documents in a single email within the specified time frame. Mails received before or after the given time will not be accepted.
The Candidates applying for conversion are required to furnish the documents in the format provided in Annexure I by MCC which asks for certain assent like NEET PG clearance or eligibility for counselling and also tells losing the status of SC/ST/OBC/Minority etc after applying.

- Documents that prove the sponsorer is an NRI (like their Passport and Visa).

- An Affidavit from the sponsorer, duly notarized, stating that they will pay for the candidate's entire course fee and that their relationship with the candidate follows the court's mentioned order.
- *Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate).
- The candidate's NEET Score Card.

* The conversion of Nationality of candidates from ‘Indian’ to ‘NRI’ is ‘Provisional’ based on the
documents submitted by the candidates which will be verified by the allotted college authorities at the time
of reporting and the Embassy Certificate from the sponsorer may be sent to the Ministry of External Affairs/respective High Commissions for verification. If found ‘FAKE’ the Provisional Allotment of a candidate may be canceled and legal action might be initiated by the competent authority. (*Please provide all the certificates in English. Conditions Levied by MCC for NEET PG Candidates, Convert Nationality to NRI:
The MCC has set some conditions for candidates who want to change their nationality to NRI:
- Candidates must have appeared for and passed NEET 2023.
- Once the nationality is changed, candidates cannot avail benefits under Muslim Minority quota/Jain Minority Quota/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS, or any other quota.
- The change of nationality from 'Indian' to 'NRI' is considered 'Provisional' based on the documents provided by the candidates. The college authorities will verify these documents during the reporting process.

NEET PG 2023 Counselling: Eligibility Criteria
The NEET-PG admission eligibility criteria are outlined as follows:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a recognized MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate from an accredited medical college or university.
- Internship: Candidates should have concluded their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before the 31st of March in the year they are applying for NEET-PG.
- Registration: Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCC) or the State Medical Council (SMC).
- Citizenship: NEET-PG is open to Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals.to appear for NEET-PG.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the NEET-PG exam, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 40% marks.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for NEET-PG.
To participate in the counselling for NEET PG 2023 a candidate must score more than or equal to the qualifying cutoffs released by MCC. The qualifying cut-off score for NEET PG 2023 has been released along with the result.
