The wait is finally over — the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), New Delhi, has declared the NEET-PG 2026 result. The official notice came out on 24 September 2026, and candidates can now log in to check their raw scores and NEET-PG 2026 rank on the NBEMS website, https://natboard.edu.in.

For those unfamiliar with it, NEET-PG is the entrance exam that decides admission to postgraduate medical courses across the country. Clearing it opens the door to MD, MS, DNB, DrNB (Direct 6 Years) courses and PG Medical Diploma courses for the 2026-27 admission session.

The Exam Was Held on 30 August, With a Small Twist

NEET-PG 2026 was conducted nationwide on 30 August 2026, with candidates appearing at exam centres across the country.

But not everything went smoothly everywhere. At one centre in Jaipur — iON Digital Zone (iDZ) Sitapura, to be exact — an internal power failure meant some candidates couldn't finish their paper. The affected test centre codes were 41682 and 41683.

To make sure these candidates weren't left out, NBEMS held a re-examination for them on 5 September 2026, also in Jaipur.

How Many Candidates Appeared

  • 2,63,544 candidates took the exam on 30 August 2026
  • 2,416 candidates appeared in the re-exam on 5 September 2026

That's well over two and a half lakh aspiring doctors whose future now hinges on this result.

Cut-Off Scores, Category by Category

NBEMS has also released the minimum qualifying cut-offs for each category. Here's how they break down (out of 720):

  • General/EWS: 50th percentile — 262 marks
  • General PwBD: 45th percentile — 244 marks
  • SC/ST/OBC (including PwBD candidates from these categories): 40th percentile — 226 marks

Stick to the official NBEMS website for your result — steer clear of random links or unverified sources doing the rounds online. Once you've checked your score, download and save a copy for your records; you'll need it later.
