Who Can Register for Round 3?

Round 3 is meant for candidates who did not take part in the earlier rounds, as well as those who are still looking for a seat after Round 1 and Round 2.

You can take part in Round 3 if you are:

  • Registering for MCC NEET MDS counselling for the first time

  • A candidate who registered in Round 1 or Round 2 but was not allotted any seat

  • A candidate who resigned from Round 2 after paying the required fee

  • A candidate who exited Round 2 with forfeiture and now wants to take part again by paying fresh fees

If you were not allotted any seat in Round 1 and Round 2, you do not need to register again. You can go straight to fresh choice filling.

Who Is Not Eligible?

Candidates who have already joined a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 and do not want to upgrade cannot take part in the third round. MCC has also made it clear that fresh choice filling is required in every round.

NEET MDS Round 3 Registration Fee

For AIQ seats:

  • UR/EWS candidates: ₹1,000 registration fee + ₹25,000 refundable security deposit

  • SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates: ₹500 registration fee + ₹10,000 refundable security deposit

For Deemed Universities, candidates have to pay ₹5,000 registration fee + ₹2,00,000 refundable security deposit.

MCC has clarified that the security deposit may be forfeited if a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 2 or later rounds but does not complete the admission/reporting process.

Choice Filling and Next Steps

Once you have registered and paid the fee, you can fill in your choices and arrange them in order of preference. As per MCC's Candidate User Guide, choice filling is not allowed without paying the registration fee. You will also need to enter details as given on your NEET-MDS 2026 admit card, verify your mobile number and email through OTP, and upload the required documents.

Also make sure you have completed your one-year internship on or before June 30, 2026. Candidates who do not meet this condition are not eligible for counselling.

What Happens After Round 3?

If you get a seat in Round 3, you must report in person at the allotted institute within the scheduled dates. If you do not join the Round 3 seat, your security deposit may be forfeited and you may be removed from further MCC counselling rounds.

Candidates who do not get any seat in Round 3 may be eligible for the Stray Vacancy Round, subject to MCC rules.
