Bhopal: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has started the Mop-Up Round for MBBS and BDS admissions under MP State Combined NEET UG Counselling 2026. This is the third stage, after Round 1 and Round 2. As per the official schedule on the DME candidate portal, fresh choice filling and choice locking have been active since October 4 and will stay open till October 7, 2026 (11:59 PM).
Please finish the process well before the deadline. Choices that are not locked may not be considered for allotment.
What is live right now (as on October 5)
- Choice Filling + Choice Locking: Oct 4 to Oct 7, 2026 (till 11:59 PM)
- Mop-Up Seat Allotment Result: Oct 10, 2026
- Reporting/Document Verification & Admission: Oct 11 to Oct 14, 2026 (up to 6:00 PM)

Security amount: pay it before you fill choices
The official student advisory makes one point very clear. Candidates must pay a security amount online before taking part in the Mop-Up Round:
- Non-NRI candidates: ₹2,00,000
- NRI candidates: ₹10,00,000
This is a security amount, not an extra counselling fee, and it comes with conditions. If a seat is allotted to you in Mop-Up and you do not take admission, the amount can be forfeited. You may also become ineligible for further stages, as per the rules.
Final Mop-Up vacancy matrix (published Oct 3): 832 seats
The final vacancy matrix for the Mop-Up Round shows 832 seats across government and private institutions:
- Government: 140 seats (MBBS 119, BDS 21)
- Private: 692 seats (MBBS 385, BDS 307)
- Total: 832 seats
Remember that a vacant seat does not mean you will get it. Allotment depends on your merit, your category eligibility and the order of your locked choices.
Some notable vacancies from the matrix
Among government MBBS colleges, seats are shown in places such as GMC Satna, MGM Indore, Shyam Shah Medical College Rewa, GMC Ratlam and GMC Singrauli, among others. In government BDS, the Government Autonomous College of Dentistry, Indore has seats left. Several private colleges also show sizeable MBBS and BDS vacancies.
