New Delhi, 19 October 2026: For thousands of NEET UG aspirants across India, today is a day of hope and nervous waiting. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has scheduled the Stray Vacancy Round seat allotment result for 19 October 2026. For many candidates, this is the last big chance to get an MBBS, BDS or B.Sc Nursing seat through central counselling.
At the time of writing, we could not find a clear confirmation on MCC's official Current Events page that the result has been declared. So please treat the result as scheduled, not yet confirmed.
We understand how tiring this wait can be for students and parents. After months of preparation, the exam and several counselling rounds, every update feels important. Here is a simple guide to what is happening today and what you should do next.

Why the Stray Vacancy Round Matters
The Stray Vacancy Round is the final stage of MCC counselling. Its main purpose is to fill the seats that remained vacant after Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3.
-
It gives a final chance to eligible candidates who are still without a seat.
-
Allotment is done on the basis of a clear vacancy matrix for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing.
-
Your NEET UG rank, category, quota and, most importantly, the choices you locked on 16 October will decide the outcome.
-
Taking part in earlier rounds does not automatically make you eligible here. MCC rules apply separately.
In short, this is a merit-plus-preference process, so careful choice filling matters a lot.
