The official timeline puts the Round 2 reporting window at September 12 to September 18, 2026, which makes today the final day to wrap up admission at your allotted institute.

MCC's official UG counselling portal has also put up a fresh update confirming that "Reporting for Round 2 of UG Counselling 2026 has started" — a reminder that this window is very much live and running out.

Who does this apply to?

This deadline mainly concerns candidates who've been allotted a seat in Round 2 through MCC's counselling for undergraduate medical admissions. Round 2 covers the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities (100%), Central Universities, and institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC and ESIC, for courses such as MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing. For most people reading this, the real concern is joining an MBBS or BDS seat at the allotted college.

Reporting isn't the same as joining

A lot of candidates assume checking the result online is all they need to do — it isn't. Under MCC's Candidate User Guide, you also need to verify your allotted institute and course, download your Provisional Allotment Letter, and finish the reporting process at your college within the notified period.

Float candidates — those who still want a shot at upgradation in the next round — generally go through online document verification instead, and aren't required to report in person the way Freeze candidates are.
