Bengaluru | 8 October 2026: The wait is over for medical aspirants in Karnataka. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the Round 3 Final Seat Allotment for NEET UG 2026. First came a provisional list, and then the seats were allotted again (a "re-run"). Now the portal is open for the final admission formalities.

If you have got a seat in this round, you need to act fast. The next few days are important because of fee payment and physical reporting. Here is everything you need to know about where things stand and what to do next.

The Story So Far: From Provisional to Final

KEA first released a provisional list on 3 October, in which 861 seats were allotted. After the Choice-4 exit window on 5 October, several seats became vacant. To allot seats fairly, KEA processed the entries again and released the Final Allotment on 6 October 2026.

Final allotment numbers

The final list is much bigger than the provisional one because it shows the status of all candidates: upgraded, not upgraded and newly allotted.

  • MBBS: 5,032 allotments in total (including 773 fresh allotments).
  • BDS: 1,966 allotments in total (including 683 fresh allotments).
  • Total: 6,998 candidates now have a clear Round 3 status.

Next Steps and Deadlines You Cannot Miss

Today, 8 October, is an important day because the Admission Order download facility goes live. Here is your timeline:

  • Fee payment: Must be done by 9 October 2026 (within banking hours).
  • Admission Order download: Available from 8 October 2026 onwards, after successful payment.
  • Reporting at college: The latest updates say the deadline is 12 October 2026, before 4:00 PM.

Pro tip: There are conflicting reports on whether reporting ends on 11 October or 12 October. The safest rule is to follow the date printed on your downloaded Admission Order.

What If Your Seat Was Upgraded?

If you already had a seat from Round 1 or Round 2 and got an upgrade in Round 3, keep these points in mind:

  • Your old seat is automatically cancelled and goes to the next eligible candidate.
  • You must complete the admission process for the new college.
  • If you have already submitted your documents at the old college, collect them and submit them at the new college without delay.

Documents to Carry for Physical Reporting

When you go to your allotted college, carry the following originals and at least two sets of photocopies:

  • KEA Round 3 Final Allotment Letter and Admission Order
  • KEA Verification Slip and Fee Receipt
  • NEET UG 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard
  • Class 10 and Class 12 (2nd PUC) Marks Cards
  • Study Certificate(s) in the KEA format
  • Caste or Income Certificate (if applicable)
  • Valid Government Photo ID (Aadhaar or Voter ID)
  • Recent passport-size photographs

Important Note on Holidays

10 October is a public holiday. Banks may be closed for offline challan payments, and some offices may have fewer staff. So do not leave your fee payment or document collection for the last minute.

What Should You Do Now?

If you have not checked your result yet, go to the official KEA portal (cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea) right away. If you did not get a seat in this round, keep watching for a Stray Vacancy round announcement. Its schedule has not been confirmed yet.
