Ranchi: The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released the revised schedule for NEET UG 2026 state counselling Round 2. As per the updated timeline, the provisional seat allotment result will be declared on September 11, 2026, and candidates can download the allotment letter from September 11 to September 18. The crucial document verification and admission reporting window will remain open from September 12 to September 18, 2026.

Before allotment, JCECEB will display the vacant seat matrix on September 7, followed by the choice filling window from September 7 to September 9 (up to 11:59 PM). Candidates will get a final opportunity for choice editing till September 10 (up to 12:00 PM), after which preferences will be locked for Round 2 processing.

Who can participate in Round 2

Round 2 is open to multiple groups of candidates, including new registrants who did not apply in Round 1 (subject to the Round 2 registration window), those who did not receive any seat in Round 1, and candidates who were allotted a seat earlier but did not join or opted for withdrawal/free exit—in such cases, fresh choice filling is required. However, candidates who already joined and opted to freeze their seat may face restrictions as per state counselling rules.

Reporting and admission process

Candidates who receive a seat in Round 2 must download and print the provisional allotment letter from the official portal jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. They must report to the allotted college within September 12–18 for verification and admission formalities. Missing the deadline can result in cancellation/forfeiture of the allotted seat, and applicable fee or security deposit rules may also apply as per the board’s regulations.

Documents required

At the time of reporting, candidates should carry original documents with photocopies. Commonly required documents include the NEET 2026 admit card and scorecard, Class 10 certificate (date of birth proof), Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate, photo ID, passport-size photographs, and Jharkhand domicile/permanent resident certificate for state quota eligibility. Category certificates (SC/ST/BC-I/BC-II/EWS), PwD certificate (if applicable), and other documents such as TC/Migration and medical fitness may also be needed depending on college requirements.

Counselling fee

The counselling/registration fee is Rs 1,000 for General/EWS/BC-I/BC-II and Rs 500 for SC/ST/Women/Divyang candidates.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the JCECEB portal and college notices for reporting instructions, timings, and fee payment modes.
