Haryana NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 has officially started today, September 10, 2026, as per the schedule issued by Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, for MBBS and BDS admissions in Government, Government Aided and Private medical/dental colleges, including notified private universities in the state.

According to the Round-2 notice dated September 9, the key Round-2 window—fresh registration, participation/willingness submission, editing of details, security deposit payment, and choice filling/locking—will remain open from September 10 to September 12, 2026 (up to 11:59 PM). Candidates must complete all required steps within this deadline to be considered for Round-2 seat allotment.

Round 2 key dates: what candidates must remember

UHSR's counselling schedule places major milestones in quick succession. After the choice filling window closes on September 12, the provisional seat allocation list will be published on September 14, 2026. The same date, September 14, is also earmarked for raising grievances on provisional allocation and for publication of the final allocation list, as per the official schedule. Candidates should therefore track updates closely on the counselling portal.

Following allotment, candidates who receive seats must pay the provisional tuition fee from September 14 to September 16, 2026 (up to 5 PM). Physical document verification is scheduled from September 17 to September 19 (9 AM to 4 PM), and the provisional admission letter will be available from September 17 to September 20. The last date to report/join the allotted institute is September 20, 2026, up to 4 PM.

Who can participate in Round 2

Round 2 is open to multiple categories of candidates, as indicated in the official notice:

  • 1.     Candidates registered in Round 1 but not allotted any seat can participate in Round 2.
  • 2.     Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 but who did not join can also participate.
  • 3.     Candidates who joined a seat in Round 1 but want an upgrade must submit an online willingness/upgrade option within the Round-2 window. If they do not give willingness, they may be treated as not eligible for Round 2.

Fresh candidates who did not register in Round 1 can complete fresh registration in Round 2. Those already registered earlier typically do not need to register again, but must complete Round-2 participation steps as applicable, including willingness.

Critical change: Round 1 choices will not carry forward

One of the most important instructions for candidates is that choices filled in Round 1 will not be valid for Round 2. All candidates participating in Round 2 must fill fresh choices, arrange preferences carefully, and lock choices before the September 12 deadline. UHSR has also cautioned that once the deadline passes, preferences cannot be edited.

Security amount: fee structure for Round 2

The September 9 notice highlights the security deposit requirement as a mandatory step. For candidates opting only Government/Government Aided medical-dental colleges (State Quota), the security amount is

  • ₹10,000 for General category candidates
  • ₹5,000 for Haryana SC/SCD/BCA/BCB/EWS/PWBD candidates

However, if a candidate opts for Private medical/dental colleges (State/Management Quota options), the required security deposit is ₹1,00,000. Candidates who do not deposit the requisite security amount will not be considered eligible for Round-2 counselling participation.

1,447 tentative vacant seats released for Round 2

The counselling update gains further significance due to the tentative vacant seat matrix dated September 10, 2026, which lists 1,447 vacant seats in total:

  • MBBS: 1,119 seat
  • BDS: 328 seats
  • Total: 1,447 seats

The matrix is marked tentative and reflects the vacancy position as of September 10; UHSR has indicated that changes may be uploaded before allocation. Candidates are advised to refer to the latest seat matrix while filling choices.

Documents: updated verification list issued

UHSR also released an updated document notice dated September 9, 2026, outlining certificates required for physical verification, including NEET UG 2026 result, identity proof, category and domicile certificates (where applicable), EWS/BC creamy layer certifications for 2026–27 (issued on/after April 1, 2026), and other supporting documents.

Candidates must carry original documents during verification, as provisional allotment alone does not guarantee admission without successful verification.

Where to apply

Candidates must apply and complete Round-2 steps through the official Haryana NEET UG counselling portal: uhsrugcounselling.com, and regularly check portal notices for updates on allotment, grievances, and final allocation.
