Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak has put out two important notices on September 24, 2026, for Haryana NEET UG Counselling 2026. One notice lays out the tentative schedule for MBBS/BDS Round 3 counselling, while the other clarifies the last date to resign from a seat joined in Round 2.

Both notices are up on the official Haryana UG counselling portal, and they matter a lot for candidates planning to take part in Round 3 — especially those who’ve already joined a seat in an earlier round and are hoping to upgrade.

Round 3 counselling schedule (MBBS/BDS): Registration starts September 28

As per UHSR’s Round 3 notice (dated 24.09.2026), here’s how the counselling process will run:

  • Fresh Registration: September 28 to October 10, 2026
  • Editing of application details: September 28 to October 10, 2026
  • Fresh Choice Filling & Choice Locking: September 28 to October 10, 2026
  • Round 3 willingness/participation option: September 28 to October 10, 2026
  • Provisional Seat Allocation + grievance handling: October 12, 2026
  • Provisional tuition fee payment: October 12 to 14, 2026 (up to 11:00 PM)
  • Physical document verification: October 15–16, 2026 (from 9:00 AM onwards)
  • Provisional admission letter download: October 15–17, 2026
  • Last date to join/report at allotted college: October 17, 2026 (up to 4:00 PM)

UHSR has also specified that physical document verification will take place at Sushruta Auditorium, UHSR Rohtak.

Who can take part in Round 3?

UHSR has listed three groups of eligible candidates:

  • Candidates who registered but weren’t allotted any seat in Round 1 or Round 2
  • Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 but didn’t join
  • Candidates who’ve already joined a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 and want to upgrade (they’ll need to submit their willingness/participation through their login)

One helpful detail here: candidates who’ve already joined a seat don’t need to resign just to try for an upgrade in Round 3 — their current seat stays with them unless they actually get allotted a better one.

The big rule for Round 3: your old choices don’t carry over

UHSR has made this very clear — choices filled during Round 1 and Round 2 will be treated as “null and void” for Round 3. That means every candidate taking part in Round 3 needs to fill and lock their choices fresh, within the Round 3 window.

Security amount for Round 3

The Round 3 notice ties eligibility to a security deposit, depending on category:

  • Government/Government-Aided State Quota seats: ₹10,000
  • Haryana SC/SCD/BCA/BCB/EWS/PwBD candidates: ₹5,000
  • Private Medical/Dental Colleges and Private Universities: ₹1,00,000 (paid online)

UHSR has also warned that if a candidate is allotted a seat as per their preference but doesn’t join, the security amount can be forfeited — and the candidate could become ineligible for any further or stray rounds.

Round 2 resignation deadline: October 3, 4 PM (in person only)

In its second notice, dated September 24, UHSR has allowed candidates to resign from a Round 2 joined MBBS/BDS seat up to October 3, 2026 (4:00 PM). There’s a catch, though: resignation has to be submitted in person at the allotted college. Resignation through email will not be accepted.

What candidates should do now

  • Note down the key dates: October 3 (resignation deadline) and September 28–October 10 (Round 3 registration and choice filling)
  • Get ready to fill your choices fresh — nothing from earlier rounds will carry forward
  • If you’ve already joined a seat and want to upgrade, submit your Round 3 willingness and only pick options you’re genuinely ready to accept
  • Keep an eye on the official portal for updates, including the Round 3 seat matrix and any category conversions that might happen under the state’s reservation policy
