Eligibility: Who can take part?

In simple terms, you must:

  • be NEET UG 2026 qualified
  • meet the Class 12 requirements (PCB + English) and the minimum marks criteria (as given in the FAQ)

Also keep these points in mind:

  • CG domicile rules apply to state quota seats.
  • Candidates from outside the state are generally eligible for private college management quota seats, not government/state quota seats.
  • Your Round-3 eligibility can depend on your earlier allotment/admission status. There may be restrictions if you were allotted a government seat earlier but did not join.

Fees: Application Fee vs Security Deposit (Don't Mix Them Up)

Application fee (non-refundable):

  • UR/EWS/OBC: ₹1,000
  • SC/ST: ₹500
  • NRI: ₹10,000

Security deposit (important for MBBS):

  • Govt college: ₹10,000 (UR) / ₹5,000 (Reserved)
  • Private medical college: ₹1,00,000
  • BDS-only applicants: No security deposit needed (as per FAQ)

Big Round-3 Rule: Your Old Choices Do Not Count

DME has clearly said that choices filled in earlier rounds will not carry forward. Even if you are already registered and eligible, you must:

  • Fill your institution choices again, from scratch, in Round-3
  • Lock your choices before the deadline, otherwise no seat can be allotted to you

You can edit your form until the registration deadline, but some auto-fetched fields (and mobile number/email) may not be editable.

 What happens next?

In its latest notice, DME has not announced the Round-3 result date. Keep checking the portal for updates. Also, add only those choices where you are truly ready to take admission, because leaving a seat after Round-3 can lead to heavy penalty/bond conditions under state UG counselling rules.
